Does President Obama Know the Difference Between the Gas Pedal and the Brake?

As I have written in several recent articles, the government take over of our everyday lives continues and President Obama is driving the bus. The question I would like everyone to ponder is this: Does Obama know the difference between the gas pedal and the brake? I truly do not believe the man is as smart as his followers claim.

Why does Obama have the audacity of speed when it comes to pushing government control into our daily lives? Every bill that Obama has presented has been portrayed as a do or die situation. If it is not passed now, it will only get worse and cost more is the popular lie that Obama tells.

We were rushed into the bank bailouts. It was supposed to open up credit and get cash flowing back into the financial system. That was a failure!

The American taxpayer was told that without this bailout, our financial system would fail and all hell would break lose. The four horsemen would gallop across the sky and the sign of the beast would be cast upon all of us. OK, that is just satire, but you get the jest.

The Obama Express continued with the rush to pass a falsely named stimulus package that sapped the taxpayers out of $787 billion dollars. It was so important that not a single Democrat read the entire bill before voting for it. It had to be passed or doom and gloom would break out upon us again.

Obama claimed that the economy would get worse and more jobs would be lost without the passage of this "stimulus" bill. We all know how this turned out. The economy still stinks and unemployment is at 9.4 percent. Is this what we rushed for? Another failure!

Up next, President Obama rushed in to become car salesman-in-chief, even though he has repeatedly lied about not wanting to run General Motors. All he did was pump billions of taxpayer dollars into a system that should have went directly into bankruptcy. Then he fired GM's CEO and installed a "Car Czar" who has no experience running an industrial company or building automobiles.

After spending those billions of taxpayer dollars, General Motors filed for bankruptcy. The taxpayers got screwed along with those who had stock and held debt in GM's name. Who profited? Obama's favorite group...the Union. Another failure!

The next stop on the Obama Express is government controlled health care. It has to be passed this year or the costs will continue to rise and more people will be uninsured is the cry from Obama and his Party of Yes. The Kennedy-Dodd sponsored bill is only 1,350 plus pages. Do you think anyone in Congress read the entire bill?

Our president is trying to rush us into a government takeover of the health care industry. This takeover will result in the radical transformation of about 1/5 of the entire U.S. economy. It's only going to cost us another trillion dollars, spread out over 10 years as Obama claims.

Another false claim that Obama made was how the passing of this health care bill would insure about 40 million uninsured Americans. A few lies that Obama forgot to mention is that about 12 million of those "uninsured" are illegal immigrants... and that it would lower health care costs... and that you can keep your insurance plan and doctor... and that no one earning less that $250,000 a year will face a tax increase.

That is three big lies Obama has told the American taxpayer to their face. The Congressional Budget Office exposed these lies faster than Obama ran up the national debt. Let the CBO break down those three huge lies.

The CBO has estimated and claims that the majority of those 40 million now uninsured will still be uninsured. Also that between 16 million and 30 million Americans will be forced to give up their current coverage and move to the "public plan." See government run insurance at its best when they interfere with your choice of doctors and restriction or rationing on health care.

The major lie is how will this government controlled Obamacare will be financed. Obamacare will require the taxing of employer provided health insurance and benefits. That is a new tax on everyone...well except for those who receive Union benefits. They are exempt.

We are already subjected to new sales taxes being applied to tobacco, alcohol and foods that contain sugar. Now the new word is Value Added Tax. Its a sneaky way to add taxes to everyday products and services or as I say, just another Obama lie. Sure to be a really huge failure.

Now as I write this article I see that House of (Non) Representatives just passed the cap and trade bill, H.R. 2454 otherwise known as the American Clean Energy and Security Act. It is another bill that was rushed and guess who is going to pay for this rush? You, the American taxpayer. Even Obama admitted this. Are you shocked? Obama and the Democratic Party of Yes believe they can just rush any bill through and spend your hard earned money anyway they want. Who has time to read these bills that are full of pork and wasteful spending. They honestly believe they are above the American taxpayer.

This so-called cap and trade bill is nothing but a huge energy tax. However, Obama made another false statement when he said "Make no mistake. This is a jobs bill." Oh boy, where have I heard that before and how did that turn out?

What is cap and trade? Well, let me explain it to you this way. The CAP is a government-imposed limit on carbon emissions. The TRADE is a government created market to buy and sell greenhouse gas credits. Together, CAP and TRADE is another scam to tax every American.

Let us not forget that Obama stated that the energy companies will pass the added expense to the consumer (YOU). Gasoline prices will rise along with natural gas, home heating oil and worst of all your electric bill will go through the roof...literally. It OK America...Obama only lied when he claimed that 95% would see no tax increases.

Up next on the Obama Rush Express is immigration. You see, that is where the lie begins. American taxpayers do not have a problem with IMMIGRATION, we have a problem with ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. That is where we need clarity.

President Pinnochio..umm...Obama wants to rush this through in order to secure all those illegal immigrant votes in future elections. Don't let him fool you like he has fooled his followers. It is going to be another rushed bill that will end up costing us a few billion or trillion dollars. You just never know because Obama and the Dems can never tell you truthfully what their bills will cost.

Why should they care? Its not their money they are spending. Why should they care what it cost? It is obvious that they just do not care about driving our country further into debt or passing the buck onto the next generation.

The good news is that this "immigration reform" is being headed by Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. Yep...she is the one who said that crossing over the border is not "illegal per se"..."its a civil matter." So, how do you think this bill will be handled?

I'm beginning to notice a pattern with Obama and his policies. It is a rush it through fast, no matter if it makes sense or not. Who needs minor details about costs to the taxpayers?

Sad to say, I believe Obama is a terrible driver on all fronts. He has his foot pressed all the way down to the floorboard and the brake will never be applied. I also believe the man suffers from a terrible case of A.D.D.

The economy is our main concern but Obama is distracted. He is trying to make those who voted for him happy at the cost of the entire country, for decades to come. Hit the break Mr. President.
