Does SideTick Pay? Yes, but for How Long
Newest Paid Social Networking Site Will Likely Run Out of Funds
SideTick Points
SideTick members earn points for various activities, which are converted to monetary earnings at the rate of 2000 pts/$1.00. Members must earn a minimum of $25 (50,000 points) before they can request payout. While minimal points are awarded for making blog entries, posting photos, visiting profiles and starting polls, the real draw is in rewards for referrals.
SideTick Pays for Referrals
Sideticks pays for referrals six levels deep. Each new referral nets the sponsoring member 2,000 pts ($1.00), with a second level referral being worth 500 points, and third level 50 points. There is no requirement for the new member to do anything other than sign up and verify their account in order for the sponsor(s) to earn the points.
This practice makes it a haven for people to sign up bogus accounts, or encourage their friends to join when they have no intention of participating. SideTick is committed to paying the sponsor whether their referrals participate and bring revenue to the site or not, which means SideTick takes a gamble by essentially starting out in the red.
Members can reach payout quickly by sponsoring just 25 new members, without any of them (including the original sponsoring member) having done a thing to bring any revenue to SideTick. If the original member motivates a number of his referrals to replicate his success by referring more members, they too can reach payout quickly, again, with no guaranteed revenue for SideTick. SideTick can't sustain that for long. The saving grace could be that new members will get discouraged and leave before earning enough to request payout, but SideTick will also not have earned much, if anything, from them.
SideTick Rewards for Blind Clicking
Merely clicking on new pages earns points for a member. They don't have to do anything on that page, they just have to open it. Rewarding blind clicks does nothing to encourage member participation, so there is no incentive to stay on a page very long to even notice any advertisements. Yes, SideTick is likely paid per impression for most of them, but unless anyone clicks those ads to generate revenue for the advertisers, they won't continue to advertise on the site.
If SideTick has any advertisers paying per click-through rather than PPM, they'll be quickly disappointed too, in my opinion. I spend a bit of time on the site every day and can honestly say I don't notice the ads at all. I doubt my own experience is far from the norm of the majority of members surfing the site.
Bottom Line - SideTick Won't Last
As long as SideTick is still new and paying out, it will continue to draw in fresh meat. With people posting that they've received payout (and many are, and some for considerable amounts), the excitement will bring in new members. Because SideTicks rewards for referrals six levels deep, those who got in during the first weeks or months stand to gain the most, but the coffers will likely run dry before long.

Post a Commentchanges have limited the earning capability of Sidetick. There are no more points for clicking so that is false advertising , the only money made is by having others sign up. Many are still waiting on payment that they may never see ,due to all the changes members are leaving the site.

I have been with Sidetick since July 2010. I have referred about 20 people there. I participated every day. I was always on the leader board. Last month I inquired why I was only getting credit for half of my referrals and why it was taking so long for me and the referrals to get paid. Within 10 minutes of sending the email, They suspended my account, citing "possible" TOS violations and that the account was under review. One month later and nothing. Not a word or reply to any emails. They owed me about $150.00
I recently signed up and was kind of wondering what it was all about and how it worked. This is what I needed. Thanks. Jury's still out for me...
I think Sidetick is Scam now, I have been waiting for 46 business days for my 3rd payment and have written support numerous time and no response back.
I think we can mark Sidetick as SCAM.
I just signed up for SideTick. However, I'd definitely recommend the SWOMBOMB--> http://eca.sh/Swom-Auto-Pilot. You're already going to be doing some of the same things that you're doing on other social sites. Only difference is... you'll be getting paid much more money. Sign up with me, and receive a Gift for Free!
thanks good topic
I've been with them for a few weeks now and find it easy to earn. I'm still not at payout though but I'll be there soon.
Sounds like a racket.
I signed up for an account, but I don't think I'll give it much attention. The site loads REALLY slow, and I'm noticing lots of conflicting information in different parts of the site -- red flags for me.
