Does a T-Shirt Hold the Clue to the Identity of a Murder Victim?

Terry Sutton
Many victims of homicide never receive justice. Some are never even identified. That could be said for the female victim that was found murdered in Clinton, Maryland on March 25, 2000. Law Enforcement estimates that she may have been dead for up to a month. She may have died from blunt trauma and possibly had been sexually assaulted.

In over six years, no one has claimed her. No missing person's report seems to match the characteristics of the deceased woman. No person has been arrested for her murder.

The police may not have a name but they have several clues that could point towards a positive identification of the woman.

She was of African-American descent with brown eyes, black hair and wore twelve inch hair extensions. When she was found she had jean jacket and a "Tweety bird" wristwatch. The most telling clue of the victim is the T-Shirt she was wearing. It had a logo on it that read, 1995 Special Olympics World Games, New Haven, CT, USA". On one of her pieces of clothing there was a label also marked , C.S. Perhaps these are her initials or of someone she knew.

It is possible that the victim or someone she knew was a participant of the 1995 Special Olympic games that were held in New Haven, Connecticut that year.

If you have any information about this unidentified murder victims you are asked to call the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office 301-772-4925.

So sad, she most likely aquired the shirt or bought it at a thrift store. Something tells me the T-shirt won't help. It's hard to believe that she is not missed by someone.

Only you can change that, stop wallowing in self-pity and do something about it. You may need to see a doc about depression.

I hope they identify her soon. I'm surprised no one is missing her. Good article.
