Dog birthday parties are becoming increasingly popular as the attitude towards the family dog shifts from "just a pet" to a cherised family member. You can turn your dog's birthday into the most talked about event of the year with these dog birthday party ideas.

Dog Birthday Party in a Box
Want a fast and easy party solution? The party in a box is an awesome dog birthday party idea for anyone short on time. The party in a box comes with balloons, treats, toys, and party favors. Party in a box can be order for small or large dogs and in two different combinations.

Location, Location, Location
When it comes to dog birthday parties location is everything. If you are short on cash borrow a neighbor or family members fenced in backyard. Are most of your doggie friends from the dog park? Then why not have your dog party at the the dog park. Don't have a dog park in your area? Call your local park and rec department and find out which parks allow leashed dogs and rent a picnic area.

Hire a Photographer
Hire a neighbor or local high school student that is a good photographer to be your professional photographer for the day. With a hired photographer you can enjoy your dog birthday party without worrying about missing any of the fun. This is my number one idea for a stress free dog birthday party! It will save you a lot of work.

Cooling Zone
If your party is outside during the hot summer months you will need to provide lots of fresh cool water for each doggie guest. A fun way to keep all the doggie guests cool is with a cooling zone. The cooling zone is a small kids pool filled with fresh water. The cooling zone is best if provided on a cement surface like the garage, patio, or driveway. The hard surface will not get muddy keeping your two and four legged guests happy and clean.

What a fun article! I usually buy my dog some cupcakes and take pictures as she gets frosting all over the place. She only gets one, since they aren't the best thing for her, but she loves them :) Oh and Frosty Paws ice cream for dogs :)
