Dog the Bounty Hunter

Duane "Dog" Chapman the Bounty Hunter could be convicted 6 months to 4 years in prison for going to Mexico and detaining Andrew Luster, the great grandson of cosmetics king Max Factor. Andrew Luster had raped so many women while they were unconscious and since "Dog" went to Mexico after him the Mexican authorities consider that kidnapping. "Dog" did a great thing by getting this man off of the streets where he can't hurt women anymore and because of this he could serve up to 4 years in prison.

This all started back in 2003 when "Dog" and his son Leland and his friend and co worker Tim Chapman hopped on a flight to Mexico to get this man off the streets. All three men were held in a Mexican jail until their bail was posted. Duane "Dog" Chapman was originally entitled to a $10,000 reward for the capture and also the $1 Million dollars for the bail on Luster. Now because of all of this he will probably not see a dime of this money.

By getting this kind of man off the streets, heir to Max Factor or not, Dog did a great thing and might very well be punished for it. This just goes to really show how the justice system really works. The episode where Dog was arrested was aired on A&E and it was very nerve wrenching to see how this great man busts all the bad guys and will most likely be punished for his good deeds.

Andrew Luster was charged with 86 counts of rape back in 1996 and 1997. He drugged these women and raped them while unconscious and also videotaped it while it was happening. He skipped out on a California trial for these rape charges and this is when Dog went after him. He said he knew he would end up in Mexico because this is how most of these rich "boys" think. They think that by going to Mexico no one can do anything about it. Well he got a wake up call when Dog did something about it and went after him. Dog's wife and partner, Beth said that he got there before the FBI within just a few hours. It took Dog and his crew more than 5 months to catch up with Luster. Andrew Luster was going by the alias of David Carrera and Dog found him in the Zoo bar near the intersection of avenues Mexico and Honduras. Armed with his handcuffs and mace, Dog and his crew finally captured Luster. Beth says that Dog never carries any other weapons, only mace.

Andrew Luster is currently serving a 124 year prison sentence in the U.S. Dog Chapman's request for injunction was denied and Mexican authorities has ruled that he be extradited and stand trial for Deprivation of Liberty. Representative, Gene Ward of Hawaii has called on emergency help for Dog, son Leland and his friend Tim Chapman and has introduced House Concurrent Resolution 50 requesting that the Hawaii State Legislator support the trio and ask the government of Mexico to drop their extradition charges against them. Once Resolution 50 passes it will be referred to the House Judiciary Committee for a second hearing and move on from there.

Not long ago Dog and his long time girlfriend and mother of his 3 youngest children were finally married. On the same day as his wedding he received a phone call saying that one of his oldest daughters was killed in a car accident. After all this man does and this is the thanks he gets. He finally gets married though loses his daughter in the meantime and finally nabs the rapist Andrew Luster and is getting prosecuted himself for it. Dog just can't seem to catch a break.

You can watch Dog the Bounty Hunter on Tuesday nights at 9:00 P.M on A&E.

Thanks for the comment. I have checked out the blog you mentioned and bookmarked it. It is a great blog and thanks so much for posting it here. I hope and pray that things go better for Dog. He has done so much for others and he doesn't deserve to be treated the way he is. I don't think it is fair that he is going through this just because he has gotten a rotten piece of scum off the streets. This just goes to show how our justice system really works. It seems like when you do something good anymore, you are punished for it but if you do something bad you are praised and rewarded for it. I just don't understand the way the world works these days. It seems like evil rules anymore. :(
