Dog the "Bounty Hunter" lost his show on the A&E network today. The reason he lost it was due to a taped conversation that he had with his son in which he said a variety of racial slurs. The gist of the tape was that Dog thought that his son's black girlfriend was trying to get on set to tape the racial slurs which must be common if he was worried about this. He was under the impression that she was trying to get the tape to the National Enquirer. How he must feel now knowing that his son turned the tape over to the National Enquirer. This was the just deserts that had been waiting to be served to such a deserving guy.

The truth of it is that Dog makes his living off of the misery and misfortune of others. This is not the only reason I think that he got what he deserved. You must be asking yourself, "Why dzgrinch, why?" Well, let me answer that question for you. If you have ever watched his show, then you know that while he is hunting these "hardened fugitives" he often says things like, "I cant wait to get my hands on that son of a bitch!" Or he will say something like, "Were gonna break this M.F." It is always some demeaning and slanderous remark about someone he apparently trusted enough to bail out of jail. The rest of his crew plays right along talking about these fugitives like they were dogs.

In my opinion, if your big enough to talk smack about someone behind their back, then you should have the balls to say the same crap to their face. When I first saw this show, I thought well here is a profession that is exciting. Then after watching closely for a couple of times, I noticed the double standard and the hypocrisy of the characters. There is his wife who often goes to the edge with her banter and rhetoric about the fugitive they are after. Beth would fit right in with the Nazi party sending the undeserving to the gas chamber. You can see the malice in her without looking for it. I hate to see anyone taken down, especially in this way. Not that what he did wasn't wrong, but I think that he had the expectation of privacy while talking to his son on the phone. Even if he proves that the tape was recorded illegally, he will never get back all that he has lost. Now don't get me wrong, I have been taken down a notch or two before. In fact, in the Bible it says, "pride cometh before the fall."

Dog and company had gotten to big for their britches. They had little or no regard for the law and would often harass innocent people who they THOUGHT might be hiding a fugitive. Not long ago, Dog was jailed in Mexico for violating their bounty hunting laws. In Mexico, if the FBI or another American law enforcement agency knows that a fugitive is hiding there, they must allow the Mexican government the opportunity to shake them down before turning them over to us. If Dog had gone to the local "federally office" and allowed them to shake down the fugitive, he wouldn't have had any problems. However, Dog thought that the American government would protect him. It didn't turn out that way though, the federal government turned Dog over the the Mexican authorities. Do you think the guys looking for Dog were talking about him like he was a dog before they caught up to him?

The worst of it though is how Dog and his posse talked about the fugitives and then were all, "what can we do to help you help yourself?" How many fugitives watched the episode where they were caught only to see Dog and friends talking about them like they were dung? I think that must have hurt allot of people, especially after they had offered to help them get their life straight. I think that if Dog and company learn anything from all of this is that they must respect everyone. If they had had a little respect for the people in their lives, they wouldn't be in the mess that they are in. You know that if they have that much contempt for their son's girlfriend, then they must hold all of the Native Hawaiians in contempt as well. Any self respecting minority will stay far away from their bonding agency for a long time to come.
