Dog Food Review
Overall, I was not impressed with Science Diet Natures Best. I might have liked testing the product better if I could have gotten my dog to take just
one bite of it. Other pet owners also complained their dogs did not like the flavors offered by Science Diet. Why is it we have to pay such a high price
for this poorly made product? There is excessive use of grains for our meat eating dogs. Corn causes skin irritation, ear infections, Kidney failure and
liver failure. Soy is responsible for excessive paw licking and hair loss. Animal fat is often used to entice a dog to eat what is given to him for food.
Aniamal fat has no real value in a dog's diet. I'm guessing Science Diet Natures Best needed something (anmial fat) to get the dogs to eat all the
grain used in makeing this pet food. What is "egg product"? How about at least using a real egg in the making of this junk, huh, Science Diet?
Given the history of recalls and a Class Action filed against Science Diet I wouldn't suggest feeding this stuff to your pets.
Science Diet Nature's Best is not what I consider a healthy choice in pet foods.

Post a CommentI'm not sure when you did this review. I currently have 3 dogs. My last was a lab mix he lived 14 years, before that a coker spanial who lived 16 years. Dog foods are constatntly changing there ingredients. I change dog foods when I don't see the right ingriedent. I also add additional vegatables and fruits to there diet. However, The natures best I buy states new formula and has the ingredients listed by ryan. could you please give a review on the new formula. i want the best for my dogs and if they could live even longer that would be awesome
as reluctant to say good things about science diet as i am, i do have to side with clever shopper on the statement that your ingredient list is wrong. the science diet natures best does begin with a meat and does not include corn gluten meal. however, i will not say that this food is good. here is the ingredient list for science diet natures best chicken and brown rice dinner-Chicken, Brown Rice, Whole Grain Wheat, Cracked Pearled Barley, Soybean Meal, Chicken Meal, Pork Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), Dried Egg Product, Natural Flavor, Whole Grain Oats, Apples, Cranberries, Soybean Oil, Peas, Carrots, Dried Beet Pulp, Iodized Salt, Flaxseed, Broccoli, vitamins (L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin A Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Vitamin D3 Supplement), Vitamin E Supplement, Choline Chloride, Taurine, mine
I don't know what you are reviewing, but none of the Science Nature's Best have the ingredients you are listing. ALL of their varieties list meat as the first ingredient and none of them contain corn gluten meal.
