Are you looking for a dog-friendly place to park the RV in the Pascagoula, Mississippi Area?

Pascagoula, Mississippi, located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, is often the destination of RVers who travel with their dogs. These dog-loving RVers find themselves traveling in this area for many reasons, some come specifically to the Pascagoula area to enjoy the sights and sounds that the area has to offer or they may even come to the area for work. Some dog-loving RVers merely stop here looking for a spot to spend the night as they move on to their next destination. Either way, if there are dogs traveling with these RVers then dog friendly RV Parks will need to be located. There are at two places in the area where RVers can spend time camping in their RV with their dogs. These two places are Shepard State Park and Bluff Creek Campgrounds.

Shepard State Park

Shepard State Park, located at 1034 Graveline Road, Gautier, Mississippi is one of the RV parks in the Pascagoula, Mississippi area that welcomes RVers who travel with their dogs. Shepard State Park offers RVers 28 rv sites with water and electricity only. These are not full hookup sites because they do not have a sewer hookup. But, there is a dump station on site for those RVers who are in need of it. RVers will also find a bathhouse, a comfort station, fire rings, a ranger station, a playground, a boat ramp and a nature trail on the property. Each RV site has a picnic table and barbeque grill and the cost of staying overnight is $18. For more information on parking your RV at Shepard State Park call 228-497-2244 or go to www.mississippistateparks.reserveamerica.com.

Bluff Creek Campgrounds

Bluff Creek Campgrounds, located at 4301 Poticaw Bayou Road, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, is another place to park an RV in the Pascagoula, Mississippi area when you are traveling with dogs. Here RVers with dogs will find 110 acres located on Bluff Creek with full hookup RV sites. Pets are welcome, as mentioned above, but there are some rules that pet owners need to know about. For more information on staying at Bluff Creek Campground, call 228-826-3958 or go to www.bluffcreekcampground.com.

Rules for RVing with dogs

RVers who travel with their dogs should be familiar with a few of the universal rules that most RV Parks enforce that are related to dogs. These rules include dogs being on a leash whenever they are outside their RV, the leash they are on must not be over six foot long, dogs can not be left unattended outside the RV, the dog must be cleaned up after and the dog should be well-behaved. Also, if there are buildings on the RV Park property, such as a laundry or even cabins that are for rent, then more than likely dogs will not be allowed in them. These rules are easy to follow, especially if the RVer gets to spend their camping time with their favorite four-legged friend.
