Dog Friendly RV Parks Near Birmingham, Alabama

Deborah Anderson
Dog friendly RV Parks in the Birmingham, Alabama area may not be important to all RVers who visit the area, whether for work or for play. But, if you are a RVer and happen to travel with your dog then you will be very interested in which RV Parks allow dogs and what rules and regulations may be enforced at each RV Park. There are many RV Parks located throughout the Birmingham, Alabama area and most of them do allow their guests to have dogs. Here are just a few of these RV Parks that are dog friendly: Carson Village, Hoover RV Park, Birmingham South Campground and Cherokee Campground and RV Park.

Carson Village
Carson Village, located at 400 North Carson Road in Birmingham, Alabama is a dog friendly manufactured home community that welcomes RVs. Situated only 12 miles from downtown Birmingham, this RV Park offers a swimming pool, a children's play area and daily, weekly and monthly rates. RVers who are interested in more information on staying here can call 205-854-0059 or they can go to www.carsonvillagemhp.com.

Hoover RV Park
Hoover RV Park, located at 100 Ben Chapman Drive in Birmingham, Alabama is also a RV Park that is dog friendly. Being under 20 miles from downtown Birmingham, this RV Park could be the perfect place for you and your dog to stay a day, week or even a month. Rvers who are interested in more information on Hoover RV Park can call 205-739-7400 or they can go to www.hooveral.org/Default.asp?ID=673.

Birmingham South Campground
Birmingham South Campground, located at 222 Highway 33 in Pelham, Alabama is another dog friendly RV Park located in the Birmingham, Alabama area. This RV Park has a "Puddle Parlor" that they encourage dog owners to let their dog use. RVers who travel with their dog can find more information on the Birmingham South Campground by going to www.birminghamsouthcampground.com or they can call the campground at 205-664-8832.

Cherokee Campground and RV Park
Cherokee Campground and RV Park, located at 2800 Highway 93 in Helena, Alabama also welcomes those RVers who are traveling to the Birmingham, Alabama area with their dog or dogs. Even though dogs are very welcome at this RV Park, they do enforce the Shelby County Leash Laws which states that all dogs must have a current Rabies tag on them. For more information on Cherokee Campground and RV Park, interested RVers can call 205-428-8339 or go to www.cherokeecamp.tripod.com/index.htm.

All RVers who travel and stay at any RV Park should keep in mind the common rules that are expected when they include their dogs on their travels. Well-behaved dogs are always more welcome than those that are not well-behaved. They should not be walked on other rv sites, they should always be on a leash whenever they are outside their rv, they should never be left alone outside their rv, they should always be picked up after and they should remain as quiet as possible. If all Rvers who have dogs that travel with them follow these few simple rules then the chances of more dog friendly RV Parks could be more of a reality than less dog friendly RV Parks.

Your Carson Village information needs to be updated. They do not allow dogs and they do not normally provide pull-thrus.
