Dog Saves Dog

Humans Should Learn from This

Tfurby
When one dog is hit by a car while trying to cross a busy freeway the only one to help is another dog. Motorists keep on their merry way as the dog struggles to rescue his injured friend, and remove him from harms way. While one dog saves another dog, we humans trample other humans in an attempt to get into a store in order to save a few dollars. What is wrong with this picture. It is a pity when animals can show more compassion than we humans. Video may watched here. www.myfoxdfw.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail

As you watch the video look at the dog that is trying to save the other dog. He struggles helplessly trying to get the injured animal from the busy highway. The dog has to stop and catch his breath, and looks around as if hoping for some kind of assistance, which of course, never comes. The many humans passing by who witnessed this act of courage, were too busy to stop and help the dog trying to help an injured animal.

I am truly humbled by watching this video, as well as a little ashamed of the entire human race. We think of ourselves as compassionate and caring, but the truth is many of us only care about one thing...ourselves. To know this to be fact all you have to do is watch the news. The Target incident, wars, shootings, rapes, stealing you name it and we humans are capable of doing it.

An example of our capabilities. My local news reported of a couple in Henderson, Texas who believed that their 13 month old daughter was possessed by demons. The woman who is 18 years old and the man also 18 years of age. The couple tried to perform an exorcism apparently by repeatedly biting the baby, she had over a dozen bite marks. When this failed they hit her in the head with a hammer, thus causing her death. They then went to a local pawn shop to sell the tools used in the exorcism, to make enough money to be able to afford to pay a priest to perform a "real" exorcism. Both are now behind bars, awaiting their fate.

I have heard it said that we live in a "Dog eat dog world", well this story of "Dog Saves Dog" disproves this old saying. It might be more appropriate to call it "Human against Human". I think we can all learn a valuable lesson from this video clip featuring animal compassion. I am not so sure what or who should be classified as animals anymore. The dog saving dog? Or the human bashing in a babies skull with a hammer.
