We ordered dog biscuits on the telephone today
We maxxed out our credit cards
We drained our bank accounts
All for doggies' treats.
We are tapped out
There is no food in the cupboard for us
The fresh food is in the refrigerator
Much too bothersome to prepare.
We are plugging pooch cookies.
We are not going to starve anymore.
Next Decision
We argued as usual about stupid things.
He ran out of the house, in a fit, got into the truck and started it. Then, he saw the leash line.
He carefully stepped out of the car, meekly and humbly looking about.
He called out, tears in his eyes, "Grumble-kin! Where are you Grumble-kin?"
He heard what sounded like the wind, while his eyes - blinded by tears.
His large dog leaping into the driver's seat, sounded like a breeze.
The huge mischief-maker tweaked with the gear shaft and the truck began to roll backward.
He was still calling out wearily for his lost puppy when the truck rolled onto him.
His body is crushed, he is no more a part of this life.
The big dog calmly sitting behind the wheel throughout the entire event, sits a while longer.
The dog is not your master.
The dog is just your friend.
Your pet cannot run your household.
We all get ridiculous at times.
Next Decision
There is no food in the house
Where is the love in our place?
The compassion has fled from us.
He looks for the dog that always gets loose.
Screaming out all his bile
That his mutt, broke the leash - again!
Starting the truck and cursing,
He pulls out at full speed.
He is a good guy
He is a gentle man
Who is not used to being like this.
A bark, a loud howl, he has run over the dog
He cries goodbye
To the pet that had wanted more.
Dog and blood and bones
Too close to the spinning wheels
Sadness and regret
Too late find him in remorse.
Alternate Decision
We called it quits.
He took one doggie
I took the other doggie
We took a long walk around the park
Going separately.
Our argument was forgotten.
The day, too beautiful to miss
A gorgeous day
What beautiful weather.
