Your canine companion is just as susceptible to the elements as humans are whether it's a rain coat a sweater or even sunglasses to look cool and protect your pet's eyes from the sun. Clothes for your cute little (or big) furry friend can be pleasing to the eye and at the same time functional against the elements. Your canine companion deserves to be just as fashionable as the owner whether its shoes a warm sweater for a cold day or a tuxedo for a wedding. Your dog can turn heads as well as the owner for an event, when you're considering any garments for your pet. Take care of clothes with any small buttons or any thing that can fall of your pet's outerwear as they might pose as a choking hazard and that's never a good thing.

Some clothes for your dog may only serve to be cosmetic and not really functional make sure whatever you put on your pet is comfortable and not too tight. Make sure your pet agrees to the clothes he or she is wearing. Remember to estimate the thickness of your pet's fur to the heaviness of the sweater you're putting on your pet to wear. Think about investing into some paw boots especially in a cold climate aside from frost bite ice melter and rock salt is bad for bare paws. If it's below freezing you want to keep your dog indoors as much as possible anyway, if you live in Florida where it's warm most of the time maybe a pair of doggy sneakers or an eye catching collar is called for in that type of climate. One of the most important things to take into account is to make sure your pet is as comfortable as he or she is cute. Make sure you get the right size clothing for your pet, preferably using a tape measure. Get the size of their neck the length of their leg and chest area and overall size in general.

Why stop at clothes you can make sure your pet has a bright smile (yes I think my dog smiles at me). You can buy dog toothpaste in a variety of different flavors, at first he or she might be resistant to the brushing of the teeth, but after a while your pet might actually look forward to getting his or her teeth brushed. Clean the dog's teeth like you would your own after all I'm sure you want every member of your family with clean teeth, healthy gums, and fresh breath.
