Doing What Makes Life Worth Living

I received an e-mail today that told a story about Hyman Salomon. Hyman was the financial advisor for George Washington. Hyman was attributed to have personally financed much of Washington's Army. When Washington asked Hyman how he could repay him his reply was priceless. "I want nothing for myself but I want my folks to be recognised for all the effort they have put into this new Nation. According to the Urban Legend if you look at the back of a one dollar bill you will find the thirteen stars in the shape of the Star of David, if you turn the Eagle upside down you will note a menorah. I know you always find exactly what you are looking for, even if the story is an illusion.

I know many Christians will scoff at this idea but it's mine so be it. God chose the descendants of Issac and Abraham to father his Child. This became the new Christian Religions we know today. I know there have been many times durring the last 2000 years that neither the Christians nor the Jews had much to make them proud. Yet they continue to do the everyday things that keep life worth living. Is this not the example we all need today?

I believe today we are all descendants of Issac and Abraham. I believe it is time we all quit whining and just do the everyday things that keep life worth living. It's tme we tell the government to stick all their wasteful ways where the sun don't shine. We the American People will follow our ancestors example and save this country once again.

Remember it's the little things that will once again make this country great. Here are a few ideas the Queen Goddess and I have begun to implement. Begin small like increase your 401k deduction by $5 a week. The folks on Wall Street have marked everything down so there are some great buys available for your Retirement Fund managers.

Become aware of where your Christmas gifts are manufactured. Yes we have a global economy but we in America still have a choice what we buy. You decide what the best quality is and don't assume anything. Perhaps you might even manufacture a gift yourself. Y'all remember how to knit a potholder or make a quart of soup? Remember we Americans are the most creative people in the world.

If it's time to trade cars for you look at them all, yes even the NON American made. Spending our own money very carefully and expecting our government to do the same... interesting concept don't ya think? It the little things that add up to success.

Not too many years ago our country recovered from a severe depression. It was done simply by folks going back to work and being frugal with what they had. No bailouts just hard work. WPA, CCC, etc all made work programs that the country benefited from and the folks working them also benefited from them,... I think it's now called win-win situation.

If we all live our lives in a manner that when our knees hit the floor in the morning Satan shudders and proclaims... "Oh Crap He's awake." My best friend says all we really need to is together put one foot in front of the other and do the next right thing. Mizpah. ;-}}>
