Do-It-Yourself Beauty Tips for All Seasons: Hair Extensions to Microdermabrasion

Regardless of the season it's important to keep your beauty regimen fresh. Keeping shapely eyebrows will accentuate your face but it's not the only thing that should be maintained. Your skin, hair and makeup regimen also needs to be updated or added to in order to look top notch. Check out these simple beauty tips to keep you looking your best every day of the year.

Freshen Up

For those long days when you don't have a chance to head home for a shower makeup can be refreshed with the addition of water. If you normally wear foundation or powder, spritz your face with water and work with the makeup you already have on. You can use your fingers or a makeup sponge to blend and disperse your makeup. The sponge is less likely to streak and will leave less of a mess on your fingers, though.

High Volume Locks

Although there are many ways to bring about high volume in hair two of the most simple ways to achieve this is to get a hair cut that shortens the hair which is weighing it down. For many; getting the chop just isn't feasible so the second option of hair extensions offers an effective solution. Extensions can be chosen in lighter or darker shades to create highlights or in bright colors for a playful night look.

Shapely Lips

Full lips are sexy but not everyone has been blessed with heart shaped smackers. While there are options like collagen injections sometimes all it takes is a good lip liner and a steady hand to create full, shapely, pouty lips. Use a lip liner around the edge of your lips in a shade or two darker than your lipstick. Coat the liner with a bit of pressed powder and apply your lip color. The powder will keep the lipstick and liner from bleeding and you just got a set of lips to die for.

Large Pores

Unfortunately, large pores are the outcome of genetics, sun exposure, age or picking at your skin. Over time pores can enlarge or even "spread" into other pores to become over sized, misshapen scars.
Microdermabrasion treatments are available at spas and dermatologists office to help minimize large pores by sloughing off dead surface skin. You can also approach this in a DIY manner with at home microdermabrasion kits made by several beauty lines. If your pores are slightly enlarged start by adding a pore minimizing facial wash into your daily beauty routine.
