Do-It-Yourself Guide: Winter Wedding Centerpieces

4x4Lover
You have your perfect winter wedding planned out but have not decided on a centerpiece idea yet, so here are a couple ideas that I had that you can use for your centerpieces for your wedding or even to just get you started on brainstorming for a way to design your own as well. Winter is such a pretty season to have a wedding what with the snowflakes falling, the holly and poinsettias, snowmen and sleighs. You could come up with any idea from these to make your own centerpieces.

1. Snowflakes Theme Centerpieces

This would be a very pretty centerpiece for your winter wedding since the snowflakes fit right into the season. For this centerpiece you will need the following:

• Square piece of Glass

• Snow globe

• Tea light Candles (4-6)

• Tea light Candle Holders (4-6)

• Snowflake Pieces (such as snowflakes made out of foam, felt, glass, or even ones you cut yourself out of paper)

Then to put this centerpiece together you will set the piece of glass in the center of the table, set your snow globe in the center of the glass. Then you will take your tea light candles inside their holders and set them around the base of the snow globe. After this you can take the snowflakes pieces that you decided to use and spread them out around the snow globe and candles on the glass and even a few around the table if you would like. This centerpiece is not only fun with the snowglobes but when the candles are lit up it makes the table romantic, the perfect setting for a wedding.

2. Poinsettias and White Roses

This floral centerpiece for your winter wedding if very festive and pretty, it will catch the eye of those at the table with its brilliant red color with white thrown in as well. For this centerpiece you will need the following:

• Poinsettias

• White Roses

• A Vase of your choice

• Clear Flat Stones

• White and Red Rose petals

To make this centerpiece you will take the vase and put some of the clear flat stones into the bottom of it as filler. Then you will take and put your poinsettias into the vase and take your white roses and work them in between the poinsettia flowers. The white of the roses will help offset the brilliant red of the poinsettias. You will then take your rose petals and lay them out around the base of the flower vase and around the table if you would like to do so, you could also set out some of the clear flat stones around the rose petals as well.
