There are many reasons why I wanted to test the product myself. First of all I wanted to know if I used it to wash the hair of the children in my life, would it burn in their eyes even though it's not supposed too. I also wanted to see if it would leave their hair smelling like baby shampoo normally does. It has a distinct scent and I don't want to use it and have the product leave an unpleasant scent in their hair.
I decided to try this product when my five year old nephew spent the night recently. I washed his hair for him while he played in the bathtub. I just used a small amount and lathered his wet hair up. I then had him lean back and rinsed the shampoo out. He then continued to play in the soapy water. He was dumping water on his head. I asked him if his eyes were burning, so I could see if the shampoo was actually tear free. It was working as far as I could tell because soapy water will still burn your eyes. When I brushed his hair I noticed that it did smell like baby shampoo. This product performed very well. It did not irritate his eyes or skin. It also smells like baby shampoo should. It was not runny and did clean properly. This is a great shampoo to use on your kids for only costing one dollar. You can't beat a cheap shampoo that works the way it is intended for. I will continue to buy this mild shampoo for the kiddos in my life. If you are looking to save money on baby products, this is a shampoo that you should check out. Dollar General guarantees that they will give you a refund if you d not like it!
