Christmas is coming and bargain hunters are looking for great deals. A great place to find terrific deals is your local dollar store. At the dollar store everything is (you guessed it) a dollar! So for like ten or twenty dollars, you can fill someone's Christmas stocking to the very top.

Here are some great ideas for Christmas stocking stuffers. Remember that some dollar stores carry some items and others carry a different variety. It is suggested to check out a couple of dollar stores to get the best items. Dollar stores can be found in most large towns, check under the Yellow Pages for "Dollar Stores". Remember that selection tends to switch over every two weeks or so, so try to go back if you didn't find exactly what you were looking for. Christmas items come in right after Halloween, so go early to get the best selection of everything.

Candles. Many Dollar Stores have a great selection of candles. You can find candles in different colors and shapes. Some candles are themed candles. I recently saw coffee-scented candles at my local Dollar Store. Sometimes candles are an item you can get two or three for a dollar.

Socks. These are a basic item but everyone needs socks in the winter so they are a perfect stocking stuffer. Sometimes you can find novelty socks, with cartoon or other images on them. You can find socks for infants or for men and women.

Candy & Snacks. Most Dollar Stores sell candy and snacks - and some are quite good. Peppermints are a great choice for a Christmas stocking but there are lots of other treats that will fit nicely into a Christmas stocking. You can open up the package of candy as long as the pieces of candy are sealed and let the candy loose in the stocking.

Hair Accessories. Dollar Stores are also good places to find hair accessories like barrettes and pony tail holders. This is perfect for a woman or a teen's Christmas stocking. You can get a whole handful of hair accessories for less than ten dollars - great to try all sorts of different looks. This can be a lot of fun for someone who is into doing different things to their hair.

Stationary Supplies. Another great idea is stationary items that most Dollar Stores carry. Who couldn't do with some cool pens or markers, or colorful paperclips? There are lots of stationary items at the dollar store; some will be perfect for the Christmas stocking.
