With businesses closing everyday across the country, some businesses are opening at the perfect time. In a tough economy, expensive things and overpriced items can break a budget. Finding a store that offers both variety and values seems like a thing of the past.

In Colorado Springs a store that fits both your budget and your adherence to quality has opened just in the nick of time. Dollar World, located on East Filmore St is one of the most timely store openings of late.

Dollar World is owned and operated by the Rasmussen family of Colorado Springs. Chris Rasmussen, my contact for information and his family made the decision to open Dollar World based on the current economy. Chris says Dollar World is not just a "Dollar Store", it is an all around store with Dollar Prices. Chris' theory is, in such a tough financial crisis, people should have options to save money and to buy quality products. Dollar World is absolutely brimming with values and quality.

We not only sell to individuals, we sell to businesses as well. We also sell in bulk. "Anything in the store, can be bought in large quantities with the same great savings", Chris said.

Dollar World and it's owners are unique and offer a much needed variety in the Dollar Store World. Because it is family owned and operated, they have the freedom to not only offer the same things the chains offer, but have included many items not found in your regular stores. When you consider the things that you buy from a Dollar Store on a regular basis, finding a store that gives you many more choices is like finding gold. You know that your budget will stay in tact if you are able to purchase a much greater variety of things you use everyday. That is what the Rasmussens and Dollar World offer.

Dollar World, managed and operated by the entire family is one of the most well managed businesses I have reviewed. There are not any conflicts with schedules or lack of employees. Chris' mom and dad are at the store and Chris and family are on site on a regular basis. Because it is a family operated business, high expectations and standards are a part of the normal routine. Dollar World is clean and well organized. If you can't find something, there is always someone available to guide you to what you want. If they don't have something you would like to see, just ask. If they can get it, they will.

Dollar World is a well oiled machine. They have all the components of a successful business. Excellent location, fantastic products and the best customer service in Colorado Springs.

The Rasmussens are also a community conscious family. They have spent many years being involved in various charitable activities in Colorado Springs. They believe that giving back to the community you live in, is one of the most important aspects of life. Their years of service have proven that.

Dollar World is my new "Dollar Store". Before I spent hours going from place to place hoping to find what I needed at different Dollar Stores. Now, I just go to Dollar World on Filmore St. I save both gas and time by eliminating the stores that don't have what I want.

Welcome to Colorado Springs, Dollar World. We wish you success and longevity.

I *love* Dollar World ... it's not the traditional dollar store, most of the items really are a good quality, and it's great to be able to grab things like cleaning products (the exact same ones you'd buy somewhere else) at such a low cost. Great article!

Made it to the Colorado Springs area one time about 10 years ago. The friend I went to see turned out to be a jerk, so didn't get to see much other than Pike's Peak outside the window.
