Domain Name Parking for Extra Money

Wordsleuth
Do you have some domain names that you aren't using? Maybe for your blogs or some other reasons? Do you just want to make some money? Well park some domains.

Domain name parking is a very simple concept. If you have a domain, there are companies willing to pay you to have their ads "parked" on your site. You deliver the domain name and the traffic and they pay you for each click that their ad receives.

It is not that hard to set up such a practice. GoDaddy.com offers very cheap domain names and they also offer a very easy way to have your domains parked. If you don't have a domain name, you can purchase it from them, and if you have a domain name purchased from another company, no problem, you can simply forward it to them. GoDaddy offers the best payments for domain parking.

Other sites that have good domain name parking include NameDrive.com, ParkingSite.com, RevenueDirect.com, ActiveAudience.com, Trafficz.com and others. Just search for "domain parking" in google or another search engine and you will find a number of sites. Diversify your domains across some of these sites to find which one works best for you.

All of the sites offer solutions for different kinds of people. Some offer better solutions for people with a lot of domains and some offer better services for those with only a few. Some have a certain number of domains you must have before you ca join and others only need one. Go to each site to see which ones make sense for your situation.

Sedo is one of the best domain parking sites. They will also market your domain names for sale to buyers. You could turn around a less than $10 investment for some real money if a buyer, or buyers are interested in your name.

It is easy to get started. Just go to a domain name registration web site like 1and1.com or GoDaddy.com and register a name, they will show you how. Then go to a domain-parking site and they will get you set up in minutes. Then just see some extra cash build up. It may not be millions, but it could net you a few hundred extra bucks, thousands if you can drive some real traffic to the site.

I will offer a breakdown of the domain parking sites in a future article.

Good article - but could use more info such as how much certain domain sites pay, how do they get traffic - i.e. do you have to do all the traffic-driving or does godaddy or whoever you choose also send traffic?

It's a way that I never thought of using to make some extra cash.

They give you the instructions after you sign up. They don't do a good job explaining it on their webistes.

I don't understand how to set it up to get paid for this, it's not very clear on their websites.
