Domain Name Parking Questions Answered

I have had several questions in response to my article "Domain Name Parking for Extra Money."

Here I will answer those questions to give you additional information on Domain Name Parking.

One CP wrote: "but could use more info such as how much certain domain sites pay, how do they get traffic - i.e. do you have to do all the traffic-driving or does godaddy or whoever you choose also send traffic? It's a way that I never thought of using to make some extra cash."

Domain name parking sites pay different amounts. They also pay different amounts for different keywords.

Some Domain Name parking sites offer you 50% of all of their add revenue from their site while some offer less and some offer more. You will have to check each particular site for their policy on this.

All domain name parking sites offer different amounts per click based on the keyword. He more valuable the keyword, i.e. the more an advertiser is willing to spend to have the word advertised to come up as them when you click on it, the more you will make per click. You can search for Google and Yahoo's highest paying keywords to have some kind of idea what they are.

You have to do all of the traffic-driving to your site. Godaddy and the other domain name parking sites will not send traffic to your site for you, or they would be paying you for the work that they did. You also cannot use autosurfs. You must advertise your site much like you would for Associated Content articles and the clicks must all be natural, meaning clicked by a user interested in the word, not a computer program.

Another CP wrote: "I don't understand how to set it up to get paid for this, it's not very clear on their websites."

You have to sign up with an individual website or check their FAQs to know the specifics on how they pay, by check or paypal, and how their particular program works. There is no standard but you will have to have domain names registered to you before you can start earning money. If you check the sites they will tell you. It also does not cost anything to sign up so you have nothing to lose by signing up and giving it a shot.

I will look at different aspects of domain name parking in future articles. If you have any questions please ask them in the comments below and I will answer them.
