Spring is the perfect time to go see a movie in theaters. Don McKay promises to shock and thrill the viewer. It is the story of rekindled love, deceit and murder.

Don McKay "Some secrets are better left buried in the past."
(Rated R) Drama/Suspense/Thriller
Release Date: April 2, 2010 From Animus Films

Starring Academy Award Nominees: Elizabeth Shue, Thomas Haden Church, and Melissa Leo.

Also starring Pruitt Taylor Vince, James Rebhorn, M. Emmet Walsh and Keith David

Introducing Director and screenwriter: Jake Goldberger

Don McKay (Thomas Haden Church) is a quiet high school janitor leading a calm life until he leaves that life behind to return to his hometown at the request of his beloved high school sweetheart. Sonny (Elizabeth Shue) has summoned Don on the premise that she is dying and wants to see him again. Don returns to the place that he fled after a horrible tragedy 25 years ago; his hometown, west of Boston, Massachusetts.

Alone in Sonny's house, one thing leads to another and Don accidentally kills Sonny's doctor. The bizarre sets in when Sonny speaks of the doctor as if she is seeing him daily. Marie (Melissa Leo) plays a cool, sinister and witty friend of Elizabeth Shue.

A hodgepodge of secrets, deception and death ensue as Don is sucked into a wicked scheme that he may never break away from. The Don McKay Movie Trailer is very intriguing. Don's only hope is to solve the mystery and hope that his sweetheart is not betraying him.

I loved Elizabeth Shue in The Saint, The Adventures in Babysitting, Back to the Future II and III, Leaving Las Vegas, Hollow Man,and Molly.

Thomas Haden Church played in one of my favorite movies of all time, Imagine That. He also starred in Sideways, Spiderman 3, Smart People, All About Steve, and more.

You may recognize Melissa Leo, who starred in the recent, Everybody's Fine. She was in the L Word, 2005 and many other films and TV shows.

While sources say this is Jake Goldberger's debut film, he was the writer for Homecoming and Cactus. This is his, however, his first time directing.

If the soundtrack to Don McKay is anything like the movie's website plays, it promises to be a good oldies CD.
