Donald Pennington's Prescription for Success - His Interviews

Theresa Wiza
As I reclined on Donald Pennington's digital couch, ready to answer some easy questions for his interview with me, I discovered that Donald preferred I open my chest and pull out my heart - my greatest public tragedy? Come on! Well at least he didn't ask for my greatest private tragedy.

The questions should have been fairly easy for me to answer. They were, obviously, about me. Instead, I really had to think about what I was going to say. He brought me back to my childhood where memories were buried and forward to my fantasies, where dreams become fulfilled.

What's amazing about Donald Pennington (and what bothers me about Donald Pennington) is that he came up with this idea before I did. What a beautiful gift he offers to writers. He interviews us, he writes about us, and he introduces us to other readers. Isn't that what we all want - people to read what we have taken the time to write?

After one interview with Donald Pennington, I was inundated with emails from readers. As I jumped around my kitchen in glee, I found myself thanking Donald Pennington...for coming up with the idea in the first place...for allowing me to share my talent...for introducing me to other talented writers...and for offering this type of format in which to do it.

More than anything, I am most grateful for what Donald Pennington offers writers -- something they crave more than anything - exposure - not the open-your-coat-in-the-alley type of exposure - real honest exposure.

A writing career has always been my dream, and I have Donald to thank for giving me a glimpse of what living that dream is about. So thank you, Donald Pennington, for prescribing for me the one thing I crave - readers.
