On Thursday September 22nd 2005, Donald Trump unveiled an artist's rendering oh what he plans to develop in Jersey City. The proposed project has been famously named Trump Plaza: Jersey City. This development will be the tallest residential complex in the state of New Jersey, and construction of the project calls for at least 1,200 to 1,300 workers.

The complex will be made up of two towers, one 55 stories and the second 50 stories. The complex will include 23,000 square feet of retail space as well as 862 condominium units.

"It really comments Jersey City as the hottest place to be in the Northeast," Jersey City Mayor Jerriamiah Healy has said.

The location will be Washington and Bay streets, just a few blocks away from the waterfront, and steps away from the Power House Arts District. All units will be given a 20 year tax abatement. Mayor Healy has explained that the city would not receive higher property taxes because of the new development, but the city would get more funds from the developers and building fee the developers paid.

Trump Plaza: Jersey City will be run by the Trump Organization. The complex offers some extremely exquisite amenities for it's residents. Such as a movie theater, business center, as well as a heated rooftop outdoor swimming pool just to name a few.

The size of the condominiums will range anywhere between 750-2,224 square feet. Although Dean Scoot Geibel, a developer from Hoboken and founder of Metro Homes L.L.C. has not determined that yet.
