Donald Trump Proves He is a Hypocrite by Putting Joan Rivers in Finals of Celebrity Apprentice

Joan Rivers Had Quit, but Donald Trump Let Her Come Back for Ratings; Proves that Celebrity Apprentice is Fixed

The last episode of Celebrity Apprentice ended up having three of the contestants fired, leaving it a battle between Annie Duke and Joan Rivers to win this season's show. But hold the press. Didn't Joan Rivers quit Celebrity Apprentice just last week? Indeed she did. But Donald Trump allowed her to come back to the show, maybe in part because he liked her, but probably mostly because he (and the producers) felt that it would be better for ratings with Joan Rivers still on the show.

When Donald Trump sent home Brande Roderick, Clint Black, and Jesse James on Sunday's show, he made the hypocritical decision to keep Joan Rivers on the show. For years Trump has been whining about he hates quitters above anything else, and that when someone even mentions the word in the boardroom of the show, he starts to think less of them. So, faced with another contestant who had quit and walked off the show, Trump was given the golden opportunity to stick to his principles and make an example of Joan Rivers. But what did he decide to do? He decided that his principles were full of hot air, and let Joan Rivers stay on the show.

Last week's episode showcased the verbal assault by Melissa Rivers and Joan Rivers against fellow contestant Annie Duke, and went after not only her, but many other people as well. Joan Rivers called Duke a "Nazi" and stated that "all poker players are trash." Not just happy enough to put down Duke on her own, she attacked a whole group of people, basically anyone who enjoys playing poker. She then went on to compare poker players to the mob and the mafia, claiming that she knew them all. It was a very low blow for her to take, and extremely uncalled for. When her daughter (Melissa) cussed out everyone within hearing distance on the way out, Joan Rivers joined her and took the elevator to hopefully leave the show. But she did not, returning to once again to lose another challenge.

Celebrity Apprentice was supposed to be a fun show where people could watch celebrities clash and compete in interesting challenges, all while trying to win the favor of Donald Trump. It became glaringly obvious that Celebrity Apprentice could actually be fixed this season in order to get Joan Rivers to the end, and it is really to the determent of the show that she was even allowed to remain in the competition. The hope of this show was to increase ratings by keeping her on there, but they have lost this particular viewer permanently for the games that Donald Trump has started playing.

Of course it's fixed, Joan and Donald are very good friends. i'd take Joan over Annie anyway though, so I'm glad she won tonight:-)

What you say is true about ratings and that's why the two loud mouths are in the finals. They always bring back a few to help out- wonder if it will be a mother-daughter team!! I dislike both Joan and Annie but can't wait to watch them fight it out.
