Probably one of the most known websites that allow you to pledge your support is www.one.org. With commercials littered with celebrities imploring you to donate your time as they have, this campaign to end poverty across the world has taken off tremendously. With options like signing petitions, writing letters to congressmen, wearing gear that sports the one logo, inviting your friends to join in, and actively volunteering, there are many ways to fight for a cause you care about without ever leaving your home.
My favorite of all websites is www.care2.org. This website is extremely easy to use and like the others listed is completely free to join. The site has over 10 click to donate campaigns. Click to donate is a free and easy way to give back to the world. Simply visit the site each day and use the click today link. Donations are made by sponsors and you do not have to sign up or purchase anything. You do not have to view long ads or view any for that matter. Ads of the donating sponsors are listed on the page and if you feel inspired to click on one it is encouraged but not required. Donations are made for everything you do on the site such as participation in a poll, using your care2 email address, using the care2 toolbar, and much more. You can sign petitions, connect with people in your area, learn about living green, send e-cards, and read news just to name a few. If you elect to sign up for the site (once again it is free) you can track how much you have given back over time.
Another good site is www.ecologyfund.com EcologyFund has saved over 2,053,633,350 square feet of land. If you register for free they will donate at least 500 square feet of land in your name. You can click to donate for many things including wildlife, wilderness, and pollution. They offer signup process with their sponsors if you want to save even more land, the average donation from sponsors for this is over 1,000 square feet. Tell a friend about the site and get an additional 100 square foot bonus donation. These are only a few of the resources the site offers; check them out to take advantage of all they have to offer.
If you are passionate about animals you may be interested in www.theanimalrescuesite.com. Here you can click do donate and fund food for animals. You can earn more donations by sending e-cards, shopping in their store, and signing up for the site for free. One hundred percent of sponsors advertising fees go towards donations and 22.9 million bowls of food were funded for needy animals in their first year alone. They are partnered with rainforest, literacy, child health, breast cancer, hunger sites so you can do more good with less time.
A fairly new way to donate is available at www.redcross.org. Under donate you will see several different options available to you. A really cool and revolutionary way to donate money is use their new program i'm Initiative. By selecting the Red Cross as your charity you generate funds with every instant message conversation you have using the program. Microsoft shares a portion of their ad revenue with the Red Cross, and it doesn't cost you a thing. You can also donate things such as frequent flyer miles and spare change.
Want to have a say in the healthcare movement that is underway in America? We all know that congress is comparing ideas and debating on a solution to the healthcare crisis in America, now you have a chance to sign petitions, make pledges, and get the latest news. Visit www.moveon.org to see how you can get involved.
If you need or are interested in more sites you can always visit www.thenonprofits.com. They have an extensive list of click to donate sites that vary from feeding animals to fighting cancer. Take a few minute each day to visit these sites and consider volunteering for a charitable cause. Even if you can not for some reason a lot any of your time to volunteer or money to improving your world, a few mouse clicks each day will make a huge impact.

Post a CommentThanks you! I bookmarked all of these websites and will click everyday. Great article!!!
Thumbs up. The misconception is that you have to have a lot to give.
I knew of some of these, but this is a very thorough round-up. Congratulations.
Changing the world one click at a time! Goodness!!!
This past year I have pretty much concentrated on the wildlife rescue centers in Australia. We were down there last fall during the crazy bush fires and saw so many natural animal areas ruined. I think I own a zoo now. HA!
Great stuff!
I've donated a lot this past year, and I'm far from well off. I've noticed people trying to sell cheap items in their front yards, and I've almost had to laugh. I've wondered why they just didn't give the items away. I realize they might need the money to survive, but if they can afford the expensive houses they're living in, why can't they donate instead of asking for $10 for something like a lawn spreader? I'm a very giving person, and this has gotten me into trouble in the past, but the greed of people never ceases to amaze me. It's too bad more people don't barter or donate. This world would definitely be a better place. Great article.
Well written article. There are many ways to support various causes for free. Red Jellyfish, The Environment Site, Land Care Niagara, and Wild Aid are a few that I found for some environmental articles I wrote awhile back.
GREAT ARTICLE !!!!
