Donating Your Car

Amy Ess
Donating your car can be a confusing process, but with the right amount of research and the right people helping you, it can be an easy experience. Companies that accept donations can offer services such as benefitting a specific individual who cannot afford their own car, to benefitting the charity of your choice. Donating your car also gives you a tax deduction. The tax deduction is a nice reward for your generosity.

One company, Donation Line, LLC offers you the ability to donate your car to charity. They have over 300 charities available on their website to choose from. The donor can pick an animal shelter, a religious organization, an adoption center, and more. If you can think of it, Donation Line probably has it available, and if they do not have the exact charity that you want, they probably have something similar.

Another great benefit of donating your car through this company is that they take care of the dirty work for you. All the donor has to do is give their information and the car's basic information, and Donation Line sends the information out to a towing company in your area. And if that does not get you, when you hear the words "towing is free," you should start to get excited. Once the cars get towed, they are usually sold at auction or for parts.

Everyone that I have ever dealt with at Donation Line is polite and tries to help you to the best of their ability. They are rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. So any worries that you have about being scammed can be put to rest. It is important to be careful when looking into donating your car to make sure that the company is legitimate, but Donation Line, LLC is a name you can trust. And if you do not believe me, go check it at for yourself at donationline.com!

This is really interesting. I wish I would have known about this when my boyfriend donated his car. It was a somewhat difficult process and had I known this then, it probably would have been much easier. Thanks for sharing!

This sounds like a great Charity donation program. Its great that even in this economy, people are giving and care about others. Its especially nice that it benefits both those giving and those who receive.

We've donated vehicles in the past. It is a great way to help out a cause.
