Donny Osmond Sets the Stage on Fire on Dancing with the Stars Season Nine Premiere

With the largest cast ever, Dancing With The Stars Season Nine kicked off a fiery show tonight (Sept. 21). Not only did they introduce a new segment to the show called "the relay competition", they also brought out the men. Unlike in seasons past, everyone has potential - even the older ones. As a matter of fact, one guy over 50 is already a forerunner on the show beating out most of the younger competition. Who is it? Donny Osmond.

Donny Osmond is the just as pretty other half of Marie Osmond. As a child and teen, his fresh face kept hope alive for all of those people in Utah who rarely get represented well on TV. Then, Donny grew up before our very eyes and bypassed all of those ugly things that happen to child stars. He managed to stay married to the same woman for over twenty years and remain true to his faith. For this reason, his debut on Dancing With The Stars was a big surprise. Who knew that Donny Osmond could shake it up with the best of 'em? You could see his embarrassment during the rehearsals, but once he hit the stage his true showmanship came out. What dance did he do the best? The Salsa! This dance gave him extra points in the relay competition bringing up his overall score to 30. Outside of Aaron Carter, he is the highest ranked dancer on the show. Of course, Aaron Carter was expected to be competition for everyone on the show. After all, He's in his twenties. You can still see his momma's breast milk dripping from his lips. Depending on how the women do on the show, Donny and Aaron might go head to head in the finale.

This season of Dancing With The Stars will be an exciting one. If Donny Osmond even comes close to winning, the ratings will go through the roof. Frankly, A different kind of "winner" would be an excellent change of pace for the show. Plus, Donny would get a chance to rub his win in sister Marie's face. If you didn't know by now, she's the one who dared him to go on Dancing With The Stars in the first place. There's nothing like a little sibling rivalry to liven up a family. Of course, Donny took her up on the challenge, so why not let him be rewarded for his hard work.

Don't miss out on season nine of Dancing With The Stars. The celebrities are unique, dances elegant and competition stiff. You can see this show in your local area on ABC at 8/7c. Also, visit the Dancing with the Stars Website. There, you can read bios, see videos, check out pictures and most importantly vote.
