Donovan McNabb and Mike Shanahan 2010 Team Up Mean Playoff Success for the Washington Redskins

The inevitable has finally happened, the Philadelphia Eagles organization has finally decided to trade Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins. It would seem that a bitter sweet tale of fate would bring together Coach Mike Shanahan and Donovan McNabb. After Mike Shanahan was released from his coaching position at the end of the Denver Broncos 2008 season, it was apparent that he would someday return to the NFL as a head coach. Donovan McNabb's trade to the Washington Redskins will automatically make their team a playoff contender in the eastern division.

Coach Mike Shanahan has entered into a contract with the Washington Redskins that is a dream opportunity for his coaching career. Coach Shanahan's extensive experience and knowledge of offensive and defensive play calling will be a benefit to Donovan McNabb and his defense. The Washington Redskins may have the final piece of the puzzle to get them to that next level of achieving a Super Bowl victory in 2011.

Donovan McNabb has never been one of those players who would go on a bashing rant if something did not go his way, as a matter of fact; he has always been cool under media pressure and scrutiny concerning his playmaking abilities. The Philadelphia Eagles organization may regret trading McNabb to the Redskins, especially since he will face his rival team two times in 2010.

It will be a very interesting 2010 season for Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins, this team also has a much more improved and experienced defense, and now they have a seasoned veteran leader who will unite and motivate a sub-par team.

There were many Philadelphia Eagles fans happy to see Donovan McNabb traded, but those fans may soon regret their hasty feelings towards what McNabb meant to "The City of Brotherly Love." The two most important factors concerning Donovan McNabb's success in his quest for a Super Bowl Championship depends on how swift he can adapt to Mike Shanahan's intense offensive play schemes, and learning to connect with his wide receivers.

Just maybe this trade is the best thing that could have happened to Donovan McNabb, a new residence may be what the doctor ordered concerning his quest for a Super Bowl Championship.
