Don't Cry for Me

Pauline Abreu
Wherever you are, don't cry for me.
Whatever you do, don't be blue.
Life goes on, and time passes by.
These things happen, we can only wonder why.

There is such intense pain within your heart.
How can you go on, and make a new start?
Your eyes are dry, but you're crying inside.
All you want to do is run away and hide.

You're heart has been torn out, a hole in it's place.
You know it's impossible to touch their face.
One last touch is all you desire.
When you reach out they only get higher.

Can you go on with this cruel life?
You just have to cope with the trouble and strife.
There is nothing left, you sit there and sigh.
I just wish you had a chance to say goodbye.

I can relate. As hard as I am sure it was, I hope writing this down will bring healing.

Nice poem. I know I've wished I had the chance to say goodbye many times.
