Have you ever started cleaning and found that you lack the cleaning supplies you need? Fear not and look to your condiments to save the day. If you are planning to clean brass you can use Worcestershire souse to shine it up. You can clean sticky piano keys with plain yogurt. Yes, you kitchen is a veritable treasure trove of things that you normally eat that you can clean your house with as well.

You can use your Tang to remove hard water stains from dishes as long as you remember to wash of the orange stuff. If you want to treat a stain on a carpet right after it happens cover it with table salt to absorb most of the stain. You can avoid using harsh household chemicals with common things around house that do just as good of a job cleaning as do expensive specialty cleaners.

Beer can be used to clean mirrors and picture frames. You simply soak a soft rag and rub it. It does not matter what brand the beer is. Cola can be used to clean hard water stains out of toilets you need to use a plunger to lower the water to below the dirt ring. Then you empty the soda can on the dirt ring and let it set up for a few minutes. You simply brush away the stain then with your toilet brush.

You can also use cola to remove grease from concrete garage and basement floors. Soak some clay cat litter in soda for about a half an hour. Place a little of the cola on the grease stain as well and cover the grease stain for about 20 minutes. Before the soda completely dries on the litter or the stain brush it away with a patio broom or scrub brush.

Insect repellant lotion makes a great formula to remove felt tip pen marks from fabric. You allow the lotion to soak in the fabric for a few minutes then rinse. This is a product you should not use on plastic or vinyl as it will not be absorbed.

Cheap hair spray can be used as an alternative to stain removing products in the laundry. You simply spray the stain a few minutes before you put the garment in the washing machine. Back to the condiments in your refrigerators side compartment; now you can call it your cold cleaning supply cabinet .Catsup on a steel wool pad is great to polish copper with and mayonnaise can be used to remove water rings on wood furniture. For really tough water stains you can leave they mayo on overnight.

In the bath room you can use lemon oil to remove most hard water stains. Do not use any kind of oil on the floors as you will never get it off and they will be dangerously slippery. Toothpaste can be used to remove most crayon marks from walls and countertops. Just make sure the toothpaste is white.

A good general cleaner for fabric and most washable surface if equal parts of vinegar and club soda. It will clean new stains on carpets and shine Formica counters. You can mix baking soda and club soda to make a fizzy cleaner for stainless steel sinks. Just be sure to rinse the cleaner off with warm water. You can use a soft towel to get that highly polished look.
