Don't Ignore Recalls on These Products for Children

Consumers Beware

Lee Hansen
A parent's work is never done. For the love and safety of your children always be aware and act upon those product recalls that are applicable to the safety of your family.

Here are just a few:

Flaw: Possible overheating of the rechargeable battery in the handheld video monitor can possibly rupture. A burning hazard can result.

Contact: Oriental Trading Company at 1-800-723-6155 for a refund or credit

Toddler Talk Toy Mobile Phones

Flaw: Clear antenna can break off causing a possible choking hazard for children

Conclusion

While there are some things that you can afford to delay, a product recall should not be one of them.

  • Several items relating to children are on a product recall list.
  • Ceramic Piggy and Lion Banks are just two examples.
  • Parents should take heed of product recalls.
It might be a good idea to check their website often to be better aware of other recalls that are listed.

Good work, Lee! Part of my job was getting this news out to providers, families, and programs--so many toys/items get made without safety in mind!
