Don't Swallow: The Weightloss Pitfalls of Diet Pills

How to Find Diet Pills that Actually Work to Help You Lose Weight

Yesterday, while shopping in Walmart, I saw a large display for Alli. Alli is the first weight loss pill available freely in stores across North America and approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (source). But it isn't alone. Various drug manufacturers have been working on competitors to the diet pill, and many other medical companies have long offered diet pills by prescription.

Of course, all of these store displays and television commercials beg a consumer to ask one question: Do diet pills like Alli actually work? Is it possible to lose weight by taking a pill instead of going on a diet? Has the "magic pill" to help you look slim and sexy finally arrive?

The answer is as complicated as one might expect. New diet pills like Alli hold great promises. For example, the weight loss pill Alli works by chemically blocking a quarter of all the fat that you eat (source). In a sense, it's the closet that dieters have ever gotten to a diet-in-a-pill. At the same time, some fitness experts question whether taking a pill is as good for you as going on an actual diet.

In this health and fitness article, I'll discuss the pros and cons of diet pills and compare them to standard weight loss practices such as dieting and exercise. I'll also discuss how to find a diet pill that works, whether it is an over-the-counter diet pill like Alli, or a diet pill prescribed under the advice of a medical expert such as your doctor.

How to find diet pills that actually work to help you lose weight:

With all the advertisement on diet pills coming out today, experts frequently highlighted that we should not trust in any of those diet pills because not only is it ineffective, but can harm you as well. So far there is no proven diet pill that gives 100% effectiveness with just simply taking it and no other side effects. Doctors, Dietician, and Nutritionist proved to the market that diet pills are not the key to weight loss, but simply healthy eating and living a healthy lifestyle is the solution.

There is a wrong notion of many people out there, especially to the teens on how they easily go after what they saw on television without knowing its effects. Men on the other hand believed Thinking it is aired on television, radio, movie houses or seen on billboards does not mean that it is effective and safe. Although some contents on diet pills are approved by the Bureau of Food and Drug (BFAD) does not necessarily mean it is effective enough. Some even have side effects if not properly used or attempts on increasing its dosages. Do not be easily misled by all the advertisement you saw because according to expert that diet pills are definitely not the key to weight loss. Many diet pills have scary side effects such as headache, dizziness, blurry of vision, anxiety, uncontrollable bowel movements, drying of skin, hair loss, high blood pressure, and certain heart problems. If you happen to be feeling any of these after taking commercialized diet pills you better stop it now and consult the health experts as soon as possible. These drastic side effects could kill you if not taken safety measures right away.

Don't be too intimidated if someone said you are fat and you think has better figure or better body features than you do. Not unless your doctor tells you that you have weight problems, you are healthy and normal in that state then there is no better way than to keep it of. If ever you have weight problems like obesity, don't hesitate to ask for the experts and for sure they have the right medication for your condition. There are many healthy and safe ways to lose weight like eating the right kinds of foods and exercising regularly. Avoid these diet pills if you really want to lose weight because they are surely not the key to weight loss.
