Don't Ya Get Frustrated?

RipDiction
I just get frustrated don't you?
We have all this input, all this media and information before us.
We know because this massive 411 all or most that is wrong with the world.
For some reason this is our gravitation.

We gravitate toward violence as Dean R. Koontz illustrated in a book once read.
The diabolical suggesting the reality that people flock to catastrophe.
Watch the crowd draw as the police cordon off the area.
In this vast world of technology humanity still gravitates to see it live.

The chalk lines of tragedy now mark shores of the south.
Chalk lines are draw in desert sands, the hallways of elementary schools.
Rough drafts drawn today are the HD chalk lines on tomorrow's morning news.

Tool wrote a song called Vicarious released in April, 2006 on their album 10,000 Days.
The song says things about people that appear to be true but, the underlying for me
is in the appearance that no one seems to care anymore.

"Eye on the TV
'cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor it happens to be
Like:
"Killed by the husband" ...
"Drowned by the ocean" ...
"Shot by his own son" ...
"She used a poison in his tea,
Then (she) kissed him goodbye"
That's my kind of story
It's no fun til someone dies"

Thankfully not a complete testimonial to humanity. Many within it seek to help and cure, unfortunately many choose to sit and gawk as well.

I do get frustrated and that's a great tool song.

Thanks Patti...came out a bit jumbled there, sluggish right at first. The mindset is that with the technology the "advancement" of humanity is not illustrated within their actions as it still flocks to violence and catastrophe. One fan like you is worth a thousand, thanks.

I like to read your articles - they make me stop, back up and re-read (sometimes several times). That's a good thing!
