Fantasy Baseball Pitchers in the American League to Drop

B J Abel
With almost half of the Fantasy Baseball season over the starting pitching pool at a constant churn. Deciding which fantasy starting pitchers to keep and which ones to drop can be a huge decision. Fantasy Baseball owners have always lost sleep watching a recently dropped pitcher throw a gem and usually it happens against the pitcher they picked up in their place. Here is a list of the top 3 Fantasy Baseball American League pitchers to drop

Dontrelle Willis (DET) - Despite a 5-6 record Dontrelle Willis has had only one good start against Texas. He has allowed 4 runs or more in a majority of his starts and with Detroit on a down slope he is not in a position to win many more games giving up that kind of run production. Willis is a Fantasy Baseball nightmare and even though you may have bought him high it is better to give a flyer on a your starting pitcher or a middle reliever that will at be a little more lenient on your ERA.

Rich Hill (BAL) - Fantasy Baseball Owners beware! The Rich Hill of old is gone. Rich has only 3 starts this year coming of an injury. His first start was a gem, and made him one of the most added Pitchers in all of Fantasy Baseball, but acting like a Venus flytrap Rich has successfully had 2 of the most awful starts in his career not being able to find the strike zone and pretty much looking uncomfortable both outings. If you were quick to grab Rich Hill for you Fantasy Baseball team, you should be just as quick to drop him.

Jeremy Bonderman (DET) - To continue picking on the Tigers Jeremy Bonderman has only been able to gather one start this season being sidelined with arm injuries, and subsequently the one start was a disaster. There is no clear diagnosis on Bonderman and I have a feeling he will return sooner than later to ruin you ERA. Stashing him on your DL will waste a perfectly good DL spot for someone who will not make more than 10 starts this season with most going for losses.
