Though the oil is expensive; the bottle has lasted a long time for me. I feel this makes it worth the money. I spent about $10 for a 4.5 oz bottle. The bottle states that it "promotes thick, strong, growing hair," and that it "thickens and strengthens damaged hair." The ingredients besides protein were also pleasing to me. Some of these included shea butter, soybean oil, oat extract, and wheat germ oil. The fragrance is a wonderful plus as well. This is one of the better smelling products on my shelf. I am a fragrance lover and find this oil to smell wonderfully. In addition; the fragrance does not conflict at all with my perfumes and is very flattering and feminine. I have gotten compliments on the smell of my hair alone.
This, as with any oil, will weigh the hair down and make it greasy if you use too much of it. I do feel this oil can be used on thin or thick hair. I think it should be used sparingly on thin hair and moderately on thicker hair. It should never be used in excess. This would be an unnecessary waste of money. Truly a little will go a long way to conditioning your hair and improving its health.
