Doomsday 2011: Harold Camping's May 21st Doomsday is Upon Us!

Elderly religious wacknut and internet preacher, Harold Camping, has unwittingly turned his own May 21st doomsday predictions into the biggest national joke in recent memory. May 21st may not bring about the end of the world (especially since, as of press time, it is already May 22 in many parts of the world), but it sure has brought us all some much needed comic relief!

In a time jam-packed with plenty of all-too-real natural disasters, economic strife, political and civil unrest worldwide and more, the idea of an old cooter from California predicting the end of the world down to the day is sort of a fun distraction. The internet has run wild with the 2011 doomsday buzz, and people everywhere are talking about it. It's on the news, on Twitter and all around town. The end of the world is officially a hot topic!

May 21st Doomsday and Rapture Predictions Bring Comic Relief To Weary World

Harold Camping, 89, has predicted the end of the world before, to no avail. You can read more about Camping's previous erroneous end-times prophecies here. However, in the spirit of giving crazy people the benefit of the doubt (a policy we follow purely for our own amusement), we did decide to honor Harold Camping by putting together an end of the world, May 21 doomsday and Rapture mix tape of sorts. So hold on to your savings accounts and don't go telling off your boss just yet. Judgment day may be near, but it sure as hell isn't May 21, 2011. However, we have thoroughly enjoyed the ride. So, thank you, Harold Camping. While others may coldly mock you for your eccentricities, we applaud them. This may end up being just what we all needed!
