Girls love Dora The Explorer and all of her friends. These Easy Up Trainers made by Pampers feature Dora and friends on the front of these disposable training pants.
Pros:
Dora trainers are cute. They have a variety of different Dora themed patterns that are appealing to toddlers. They are mainly white with blue flowers on the front of the pants. They disappear when your child wets their pants. This lets you know that their trainer needs changed.
The gel in the training pants let your little one know they are wet. They do absorb like a diaper, but something in these training pants makes them feel wet when your child has an accident. The gel can get on your child's bottom, but this gel is harmless.
Your child can put the trainers on without your assistance. They are made for toddlers to be able to easily pull them up and then down when they have to use the potty. It gives your child a sense of independence. They feel pride from not having to lay on the floor and have mommy put a diaper on them. They area huge step up from diapers and makes your little one feel like they are finally in big girl pants.
These Dora trainers are really absorbent. I have never been worried that my daughter will leak through her easy-up pants. She even wears them overnight with no problem.
Cons:
They seem to run a little small so buy one size up. My two year old weighs thirty pounds and the size four trainers are used for girls 18-34 pounds. I buy size fives which are made for girls 32-40 pounds. Going one size up will mean the cost per diaper goes up (from .32 for a pack of size fours to .37 for a pack of size fives), but it will guarantee that you don't waste diapers if your child breaks them when she pulls them up.
If you think simply putting these pants on your child will get them to want to use the potty you will be disappointed. They do become gel like and feel wet when your child pees, but that didn't seem to bother my daughter. She truly didn't mind sitting around in wet diapers. The good thing, if your child will not tell you that the diaper is wet and needs changed, then you can simply look at the diaper. The diaper has little blue flowers that fade into a blue panel when your child wets.
Where To Buy:
Dora Trainers are easy to find at local retailers such as target or Wal-Mart. They can also be purchased online at sites such as Alice.com, Drugstore.com, or Diapers.com.
