Doritos Compared to Bravado's

Doritos Brand Tortilla Chips to Wise Bravado's Tortilla Chips

Nacho Cheese tortilla chips are a extremely popular snack food amongst Americans. In this time of economic uncertainty it is not surprising that many people are turning to generic and store brand products as an alternative to higher priced national brands. In this multi product review I will compare Doritos brand Nacho Cheese tortilla chips to Bravado's tortilla chips made by the Wise chip company in an effort to save other consumers time and money.

Doritos brand tortilla chips are probably the most popular flavored tortilla chip brand by far. For many years consumers have turned to Doritos brand snacks to satisfy their cravings for salty snacks. Doritos is a part of the Frito Lay company, as mostly everyone already knows. Nacho cheese doritos have been a favorite brand for as long as I can recall. I really like this brand and particular product, however they are getting to be really expensive. I paid $1.29 for a very small bag of Doritos brand tortilla chips, which in my opinion is too expensive despite the great quality and flavor of this snack food. These days I almost exclusively buy generic brands in an effort to save money, my budget just doesn't allow for $4 bags of chips on a regular basis. This harsh reality lead me o try out the Wise brand of Bravado's, a generic brand of Doritos.

Bravado's are a lot more affordable, frequently I am fortunate enough to find Wise products in shops like Family Dollar and Dollar Tree. At these shops I can purchase a bag comparable in size for $1.50 or less, which is a great deal. Granted Bravado's do not taste anything like Doritos, but they are not too awful bad either. My only complaint with the Wise brand of Bravado's tortilla chips is an issue of quality assurance. Several months ago I purchased a bag and to my extreme disappointment and disgust I found a large piece of black plastic in the bag amongst the tortilla chips. I am just glad I did not attempt to eat this foreign object! I did contact their customer service department and they sent me 3 coupons good for a free bag of any brand of Wise chips. Needless to say I did not get bravado's and I carefully inspected each chip before eating them.

I would recommend the Doritos brand of Nacho Cheese tortilla chips to anyone, but I would not be as quick to recommend Bravado's to other consumers.
