Signing Up
Visit www.dotphoto.com and click the sign up button on the homepage. You will be prompted to enter your name, email address, and create a password, along with a few other tidbits of information. A basic account is free, but if you are interested in upgrading your account for more storage there are several options to choose from.
Create your Website
This will be your photo page that will contain all your photos to share. You can pick from various layouts and colours to customize your page as well as organize your Photo Albums in the order of your choice. In some layouts you are able to include a summary about yourself for those who view your page. You will also create your own website link to share with friends and family.
Upload Photos
To Upload Photos click the My Albums title near the middle top of the page. On the left side you will see an Add button, click on this and then Photos. You can then choose to create a new album or add to an already existing album of your choice. If you choose to add a new album you can title this album for easy reference. On the left side you will see a menu where you can specify the location of your photos and which photos to upload. Uploading may take some time depending on the number of photos you are uploading, so be patient.
Organize Photos
Select the album you would like to organize and click on it. On the left hand side you will see a menu which contains the heading Organize with many options underneath it. You have an assortment of options but the most commonly used are rearrange, edit titles, or rotate.
Rearrange Photos
Select this option to organize your photos into your desired order in an album. To rearrange all you will need to do is hover over the photo of your choice and drag and drop the photo into the location of your choice within the album. Depending on the number of photos there could be numerous pages to choose from. This can be time consuming if you have multiple pages of photos, but is a nice feature to have.
Edit Titles
Select the Edit Titles option and you will be brought to a page with each of your photos and a space to include a title and description. This is a popular option as it helps you remember the time, location, and people within the photo.
There are many other options to use within Dotphoto which you can experiment with at your leisure. Ordering custom-made photo gifts is a popular feature especially for those all important holidays. Thus, if you are debating about which photo site to try I urge you to look into Dotphoto located at www.dotphoto.com
