Double Your Income Working Just 4 Hours Per Day

Mike Thomas
You read the title right. You can probably make just as much working part time as you do during your day job.

It takes a little time, a lot of ambition, a little creativity and some effort, but you can do it.

"But," I can hear some of you saying, "I work eight hours per day, exercise, have children to take care of, and I need to sleep once every planet revolution or two. I don't have any time."

Actually, you probably do. But we'll look at ways to increase the time you have in a different piece. What we're looking at today are a few "gimme's." We're looking at proven ways to earn as much as your full time job - but working for yourself part time. And, while you may hedge at the thought of risking your own hard-earned money and quiting your job to start a business, keep in mind that you don't have to. You can work for yourself for less than $30 - and you'll need to keep your day job (at least for now).

First, keep in mind there are many, MANY ways to work for yourself part time. The smartest approach, however, is to combine multiple streams of revenue. Here's one approach:

Start 5 blogs on their own domains. We'll explain why they need to be on their own domains in a minute. Suffice to say, each of the blogs should be on separate topics. Make sure they're topics folks will search for, too. Some domain hosting services (like GoDaddy.com, for instance), will let you set up a blog on its own domain for $5 or less for an initial investment and less than $3 per month per domain after that!

Blog on all of them every day. That's right - every single day. Weekends included. It's important that your posts are at least 400 words long, too. In order for your posts to be successful (thus make this work for yourself venture successful), you will want to include (and repeat) words that people will type into search engines to find information on. You should be able to bang out five 400-word pieces in about an hour or so.

Submit your posts to Associated Content. As long as your writing is good enough and your topic hasn't been done to death, there's a pretty good shot that AC will buy your posts (as long as you submitted them for payment for NON-EXCLUSIVE rights). Submitting all five pieces may take 10 minutes. For argument's sake, let's say you submit five posts per day and AC accepts all of them for an average payout per piece of $5. That's $25 per day.

Smile pretty. Now that you've written the pieces, submitted them to AC and posted them on your blogs, it's time for you to make short movies out of them. It takes a little practice to be happy with yourself in front of a camera, but you can do it. If you make five videos per day, and they are all five minutes in length (and you work in some wiggle room), you're spending 30 minutes making the videos and another 30 minutes transferring them to your computer. Add to that the time it takes to upload the videos (assume another 30 minutes). You've spent, by day's end, 90 minutes making and putting your videos on AC. Let's say you make five of these short movies per day and are paid, on average, $5 per video. That also is $25 per day.

Promote the heck out of your AC content. On your blogs, link to your Content Producer page. Imbed your videos. Link to articles you've written - or others have written - for AC. The more people that access your content, the better your Performance Bonus will be. And the more you link to other CP's, the better theirs will be, too!

Sign up with paid posting sites. Once your blog is at least three months old, sign up with PayPerPost, Smorty, Blogsvertise and other "pay you to post" type sites. These can add cash to your work-for-yourself venture very quickly. It's relatively easy to write one paid post per blog per day because most of them will be 200 words or less (writing five of these should also only take you 45 minutes or less). It's also relatively easy to average $10 per blog per day by writing these paid posts. When you total the paid posts together, that's an average of $50 per day.

You do the math. By following this reasonably uncomplicated formula, you can average $100 per day. And, because you're not taking any time off on the weekends, you can multiply that by 30 days (in a month) and get $3,000 per month - or $36,000 per year! A lot of people don't make that much working full time! But how much is that per hour? Adding the time it takes to write the posts, video tape (and transfer) them, as well as writing paid posts - then adding some extra wiggle room in - you're spending an average of 220 minutes per day - or about 3 hours, 40 minutes per day working for yourself. Add the extra 20 minutes in to make it a full four hours (just to give yourself even more wiggle room), then multiply those four hours by 30 days per month. That's 120 hours to earn $3,000, or $25 per hour!

The point here is that you don't have to be a genius to substantially increase your income by working for yourself. You can do this. And, if after a little while you want to work for yourself full time, you can make even more money. Keep in mind, also, that this isn't the end-all, be-all way to double your income while working part time. You might find you can double your income by selling items on eBay or any number of other methods.

Remember - with a little time, effort, drive and creativity, you can do this.
