Chris Brown will not be "slimed" at this year's Kids' Choice Awards, presented by Nickelodeon. His name was placed on the ballot for two categories, "Favorite Male Singer" and "Favorite Song" for Kiss Kiss, just days before his arrest for allegedly attacking girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna. Although on-line petitions with over 5,000 signatures have been circulating to remove his name from both ballots, Nickelodeon said yesterday that it had no plans to remove his name. The Associated Press now reports that Chris Brown himself has withdrawn his name from the ballots, and that he will not attend the show. A spokesman for Nickelodeon confirms that Brown is not scheduled to attend.

In a statement, his representatives said, "While Brown would like to speak directly to his fans, he can't because of the criminal case." A statement released earlier this week said, "Chris has been hanging out with Rhianna, working on his music and spending time with and speaking with his mother and pastor."

The Kids' Choice Awards, also known as the KCA's, is an annual awards show, which is always aired live, and honors the year's biggest television, movie and music acts. People who watch the channel, and vote on-line at www.nick.com determine the winners. In recent years, slime stunts have become very popular on the show, and many of the adult celebrities have received the honor of getting "slimed."

The Kids' Choice Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on Saturday, March 28th at 8:00 PM EST, and can be seen on the Nickelodeon channel nationwide. Dwayne Johnson, also known as "The Rock," will host the wildly popular kids' awards show. His breakout movie roles include The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion Kinds, The Game Plan and Get Smart. He expresses a passion for acting, and is now one of Hollywood's go-to leading men. In his spare time, Johnson has written an autobiography and works with his charity, The Rock Foundation, as well as The American Red Cross, and The Make-A-Wish Foundation that grants wishes to terminally ill children. He's also a devoted Dad and father to 7-year-old daughter, Simone.

This year's Kids Choice Awards categories include: Favorite Reality Show, Favorite TV Actor, Favorite Cartoon, Favorite Female Athlete, Favorite Book, Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actor, Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Animated Movie, Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie, Favorite Male Singer, Favorite Female Singer, Favorite Song, Favorite TV Show, Favorite Music Group, Favorite TV Actress, Favorite Male Athlete, and Favorite Video Game.
