Wrigley's Gets a Visitor During a Cubs Vs. Reds Game

Cat gotcher tail? Some say. Not really, but literally yesterday during the forth inning while the Cubs were playing the Reds. I know, you would think that all of the ruckus would be the excitement of seeing a little kitty taking all of the attention away from the game. That is not the case at all, actually.

The excitement didn't happen until, well this big bad cruel monster took the cat by the tail. You heard that right. I thought that they only do that to rats. Uhm, evidentially not because the cat got a big surprise.

Hey, don't get me wrong, surely it hurt the cat. Hopefully he is okay. What is bad is the fact that half the spectators and news stations, etc. are making this huge big deal about picking the cat up by the tail. I am baffled.

So why am I writing this? I think that it is funny how we as a society go bonkers over things this ridiculous and make a huge scene, call out the brigade, PETA and the whole nine yards over what? Anyways..

Next thing you know this man will be charged with animal cruelty, fined, lose his job and all for what? Protecting himself and others...

Can you say rabies? Cat scratch fever? Lost eyes? Deep scratches and bites?

Stray cats are nothing to mess with. What if the cat would have attacked a child? I can almost guarantee that there would have never been as big a deal about that as what they are making about a cat getting picked up by his tail.

Well there is my perspective on the matter. I still think that it ruined the Cubs game and they should have won. My opinion of course. Hopefully the kitty is okay, really. However, I say kudos to the man who picked him up. He was looking out for himself and others, so get over it already.

I think the hoopla is an innate sense that someone who is cruel to animals is a cruel person generally, and we rightfully despise them. If the cat had attacked someone, different story, but it got that far without attacking anyone... You remind me of Monty Python where the Enchantor Tim is warning Arthur of the deadly rabbit. Now ridiculous would be if the guy's package fell out of his fly at the same time. Have a great day!
