Douglasville-Atlanta, Ga. Receives Historic White Christmas in 128 Years! Since 1882 Three Inches of Layered Snowfall

Phillip W. Chambley
For the first time in 128 years Douglasville Metro-Atlanta Ga. USA since the year of 1882, this community has received a complete 2-4 inch layer of snowfall on "Christmas Day 2010!" For all of you original life-time Atlanta, Ga. residents this is truly a remarkable wonderful event. Over the years beautiful Atlanta, Georgia has had a few snow flurries, but nothing as gorgeous as today's happening! with very little traffic problems in and around the metro area, because of non-sticking.

Ironically? The number one most recorded song in history all around the world is called "White Christmas!" Looks like Atlanta, Ga. residents finally got their wish in life, after 128 years. At approx. 4:00 p.m. the heavy snow started hitting the western Douglasville Metro-Atlanta, Ga. area, and within two hours time this particular zone had reached nearly 3 inches of snow since the year 1882, and finally lovably started to stick to the ground, causing very few problems for anyone.

Religious elderly Atlanta, Ga native residents will mostly call this a miraculous/biblical act of "the day Jesus Christ was born!" in the past over 100 years. Which so many northern USA people do not seem to understand whenever it finally snows here in the southern east part of the USA. Most USA central Rockies and northerners just take our snow for granite and wonder why native southeastern natives "go crazy" whenever it snows!

Snow in Atlanta, Ga. USA is a very rare occasion. However? When this unusual meteorological event does happen. Local residents seem to panic for some strange reason? "Can you imagine what would happen if ever snowed in Los Angeles, California on Christmas day?" This long-time event in Atlanta, Ga. is very similar to this centennial event.

Fortunately? At 7:10 p.m. in Atlanta, Ga. eastern-time USA the temperature still remains at 34 degrees Fahrenheit, whereas there also seems to be no problems on the roads at the is particular time, thus causing nothing but icy slush on the roads and no severe driving incidents. The weather channel here in Atlanta, Ga. predicts that temperatures will drop below freezing after midnight on this day of December 25, 2010, into the next day early morning hours, simply because this precipitation will freeze over on the road-ways on the 26th of this month, possibly causing some un-safe driving hazards.

These freezing roads of temperatures of 25 degrees after midnight in the Atlanta-Metro area will caused unfortunate un-safe driving conditions. "Which is also called Black Ice?" Which motorist can not see on the highways here in Atlanta, Ga. area such as highway 75, 85, 285. But will dissipate further traveling into the southern eastern part of the USA because of higher temperatures, making it much safer for Christmas Holiday drivers.

What is even weirder about this date and time in history? Is the fact that Australian people celebrate this "Jesus Christ Day" wearing shorts and swimming at the beach at 84 degrees" The reason why is because the earth is titled closer to the sun, thus creating more heat for all earthlings, although the earth is the furthest way of it's yearly cycle around the solar system.

Most normal Christmas Day opened restaurants such as I-Hop and Waffle House have closed early in fear of employee problems getting in to work, regarding these hazardous weather driving conditions. The Weather in Atlanta, Ga. can sometimes be really "strange sometimes?"
