Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash unscented for clean, fresh skin.

Susan Slade
Dove have created several body washes, and I have been disappointed with their Dove All Day Moisturizing Body Wash, Sensitive Skin, 12 Oz. I found this one left a film on my body, and just couldn't wait to finish it up.

I probably wouldn't have purchased the Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash Unscented, if I hadn't first received a sample, in the mail. The size of the sample 'bottle' was 0.54 fluid ounces (16 ml) and more than enough for a shower.

I took it to Orlando with me, as sometimes the soap in the timeshares isn't always the best. To my joy we had 'Dial' soap, which was more than adequate.

I tore off the top of the sample that was bottle shaped, and nothing came out. Lucky for me I had taken a pair of nail scissors with me. I cut off the top and took it into the shower with me.

I got under the shower and then squeezed the plastic bottle. Out came a really thick white cream. It states that it is unscented, but it does have a very light smell to it. I wet one of the face/wash clothes and rubbed it together. I then washed my body all over with it. When I got to my back I added some more of the cream to the cloth to finish up.

Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash lathered a little, but not as much as I would have expected of it. I put the face cloth under the shower head again, and added the remaining body lotion. I squeezed it and again went over my body. This time I did have more of a lather but still not a major one.

I rinsed off my body and came out of the shower. I dried myself and could smell this really faint fragrance. I touched my legs, arms, etc., and they felt clean. I rubbed them slightly and they didn't feel dry at all. My skin is normal, and the only time I get dry skin is when I am out in the sun, more than usual. With that in mind I didn't need to moisturize afterward.

We went to Sea World for the morning, and then in the afternoon I had a long swim in the pool. When I went to bed that evening I felt my skin, and didn't need to use a moisturizer on my body, just my normal nightly facial one.

When I checked on the price of the 24 ounce Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash Unscented, it works out to be between $5 and $6. Even though this is a big size bottle I will wait to see if one of the drugstores has it on sale, and I will use a coupon too. If I can get it for $2.50 to $2.99 then I will purchase this Dove Body Wash.

Be very careful about Dove "unscented" body wash since it actually has fragrance. I have been having an allergic reaction for a few days. I showered with it today and have little welts. I believe this is the source of my allergic reaction.
