Downloading YouTube Video to Your Mp3 Player

YouTube is one of the most popular video websites on the web today. Ranging from home video, music video, lessons, travel video, clips of movies, television shows or anything anyone wants to put on YouTube. With all these videos at your finger tips some people might notice their is no "download" option on YouTube by default, but you can download YouTube video multiple ways and save them in multiple formats.

YouTube videos are in flash video format (.flv) by default, all videos on YouTube are set to this. Downloading the flash video file is pretty easy but not use able on most mp3 players. Downloading the flash video file will work fine on you home computer or laptop if you have a flash video player which come in large numbers on the web most of which are free.

Downloading a flash video file on YouTube is easy and fast. First open the page on YouTube with the video you would like to download, once you are on this page go to the top of the screen to the bar where you type in the address of the web page you would want to go to. That web page should be something like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8mNdAMJvJQ&feature=featured, once here just add the word "kiss" after the "www." in that web bar. Your finished version should be something like http://www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=d8mNdAMJvJQ&feature=featured, this will download a flash video version of your video.

Flash video does not work on most mp3 players so if you wish to use this video on a mp3 player you will need to do something a little different. The web has many sites that will download and convert your video into a mp4 that most modern mp3 players support.

First step is a lot like the flash video download, you must go to the YouTube page with the video you want to download. Once here copy the page address up top so you can paste it to another page. Again you have lots of pages you can use to do the next step but I use http://keepvid.com/, open this page. Now that you have http://keepvid.com/ on your screen and already copied the web page address on the video you would like to download on YouTube simply paste that address into the url/download bar on the http://keepvid.com/ web page, then click download. You will have the option of downloading this file in different formats and if you plan on using this on a mp3 player i suggest you download a mp4 version of the video, most mp3 players support this file type. Once you have the mp4 file saved on you computer or laptop just send it to your mp3 player like you would any other.
