According to CPEX Real Estate, the newest location for Jake's Wayback Burger will be at 125 Livingston Street. The space boasts 2,000 square feet and will be the Connecticut-based chain's first New York City location. Right now, Jake's is getting a rental deal on the space which is going for $55 per square foot.
The burger and hot dog joint actually signed a 15-year lease which indicates to locals that Jake's is planning on hanging around for quite some time. It's rumored that New York City will be seeing an upwards of about 10 Jake's locations in the coming year.
The grand opening of the Livingston Street location is expected to take place in about three months which has doors opening sometime in the beginning of 2011.
Jake's Wayback Burger sets itself apart from other similar businesses in that it doesn't let food sit under heat lamps. Every order is made to order. Specialties include all beef hot dogs, burgers, grilled chicken, chips, French fries, and milkshakes.
