Downtown Denver Restaurants I Will Never Visit Again

When in Denver, Don't Do as They Do - Steer Clear of These Restaurants!

P
Denver is one of my favorite places to visit, and what exactly goes along with visiting a place? Eating. You have to eat to live. So, it is important to eat what tastes good, and what IS good. But there are a few places in Denver that I wouldn't want to try again, not in a hundred years.

The P F Chang's on 15th street is.. well, terrible. Most chain Chinese food restaurants aren't exactly superb, but this one is absolutely horrible. P F Chang's has a tendency to skimp out on meat, leaving 4 or 5 pieces of meat on your plate and loading the space up with filler veggies.

The sauces they use are extremely bland, almost as if they'd made a mixture of soy sauce, sugar and flour and doused everything in it. The menu is amazingly limited and unappealing. All of the dishes taste like you had good Chinese food 4 days ago, let it sit in the fridge until now and then microwaved it. Probably even worse than that.

Really, the food is horrible and the prices are astounding, I don't know why someone would want to partake in a mis-adventure at P F Chang's. Stay away!

Ya Hala Grill on S. Colorado isn't much better, if anything it's a tad bit worse! The service is horrible. My party was seated after a good 10-15 minutes, and water was only brought after 5 minutes of waiting.

It took forever to get someone to take our order, and then it took even longer to get our food. The staff was pretty rude, as well. The food isn't terrible, but I've had better Middle Eastern food, with way better service. If you're accustomed to being starving and waiting for your food for almost an hour, then this place is okay.

I am surprised that a place with such good food, and so many complaints about the terrible service wouldn't change anything!

The Benihana's on Tamarac Drive was less than Okay. Another chain, this place makes McDonald's look like an upscale bistro.

The menu is extremely boring and uninteresting, almost like it was designed for all-American yuppies who just want to "feel" like they are indulging in something ethnic, or experimenting culturally.

The food is definitely not up to par. Upon ordering 3 entrees for my party, one small slab of zucchini each was served as our side of vegetables.

The meat is very bland, sauce and flavor is only existent on the outside. I might as well have been eating cardboard with sauce on it. Do not want!

Great Wall on Wadsworth is probably the worst I've experienced. The service was so-so, I had to actually ask for water instead of it being offered to me.

Their dishes consist of hard, cold flavorless masses, not at all satisfactory. The service was pretty bad, and the prices are extremely high for such slop.

Their buffet has a wide variety of different things, unlike most restaurants, but it all tasted horrible!
