Downtown Royal Oak Hosts 27th Annual Halloween Spooktacular
Neighborhood: Downtown
Royal Oak, MI 48073
United States of America
Downtown Royal Oak's 27th annual Spooktacular features Halloween trick-or-treating by the safe light of day, with candy handed out by trusted and reliable local businesses.

Families can enjoy the festivities a week ahead of time, on Sunday, Oct. 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

If the kids can hold their horses in their quest to fill their sacks with as many goodies as possible, they can stop for the following activities:

'" Nail painting and crazy hair-do's at Alex Emilio Salon. (Don't worry, Mom and Dad, the hair do's can be undone.)

'" Pumpkins bowling at Baskin Robbins. (A pumpkin can roll more different ways than B-R has flavors!)

'" Face painting, tattoos and spooky manicures at Douglas J. (The tattoos are not permanent.)

'" Lawn games in front of First United Methodist Church.

'" Pumpkins cookie decorating and costume fashions at Gayle's Chocolates. (Kids: Don't get the icing on your costume fashions.)

'" Plinko at Kids Planet.

'" Face and nail painting at O'Toole's.

'" Trunk-or-treating (What's that? Show up to find out.) at St. Paul Lutheran School.

'" Halloween tattoos at Stagecrafters.

A number of Birmingham businesses will offer discount.

This is a ton of activity to offer within two hours. The kids might get so worn out that they will sleep until the real Halloween .... NOT!!
