Downtown Washington, DC's CHoP isn't your typical farmers market. On the contrary, CHoP features celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, live music and other entertainment, a winning formula that makes CHoP an awesome weekly Downtown DC event true to its motto, "eco-friendly, informative, entertaining, interactive and original." This farmers market is part of a growing effort to bring healthy food options and farm fresh ingredients to the Nation's Capital. But, it's also bringing Downtown DC together.
You'll love Downtown DC CHoP's celebrity chef demos, scheduled through September 24th. All the big names in DC's culinary scene get involved in CHoP, like Top Chef veterans Carla Hall (Alchemy Caterers) and Mike Isabella (Zaytinya), Travis Timberlake (Art & Soul), Richard Bradenburg (Cafe Atlantico), Ethan McKee (Circle Bistro), and Miles Vaden (Eventide). You'll also find a lively crowd and awesome street scene Fridays on the Plaza in Downtown Washington, DC.
Indeed, CHoP is yet another reason to check out the sensational sights and sounds of Downtown DC this summer. Hop on the Metro and you're in for a real treat.
