Dr. Bronner's Hemp & Peppermint Magic Castile Soap Review

The Pen
Last summer I was shopping at Target when I saw a trial size bottle of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps. A 2oz bottle was only $1.99, so I bought one because I'd wanted to try Dr. Bronner's soaps for the longest time.

I recently bought another 2oz bottle of the the Dr. Bronner's Fair Trade Hemp Peppermint Pure Castile Soap, because I love using minty soaps in the summer.

The Peppermint Castile Soap comes in an 100% post consumer recycled bottle that has a blue and white label. The label looks neat and clean until you have to read it, there's so many tips, hints, and other info printed on one that it's confusing and overwhelming.

This Dr. Bronner's soap is almost clear, with the faintest hint of yellow. It contains water, saponified organic coconut and olive oils, hemp oil, organic jojoba oil, organic peppermint oil, mentha arvensis extract, citric acid, and vitamin E.

I really appreciate how every ingredient in this castile soap is natural and eco-friendly.

Dr. Bronner's claims that this Magic Soap has 18 different uses including cleaning babies, pets, and even dentures. I, however, have only used it for about 5 different things.

I primarily use the Hemp Peppermint Castile Soap as a body wash. I have eczema and I've found that it's extremely difficult to find a quality body wash that doesn't irritate my skin.

But a few drops of the Peppermint Soap creates this amazingly rich lather that is extremely gentle and moisturizing. It soothes and nourishes my skin and it's the only body wash I've found that hasn't irritated or dried out the eczema or made it spread.

But the best part is that the Dr. Bronner's Hemp Peppermint Castile Magic Soap creates this intensely cool minty sensation about ten seconds after it hits your skin, so it's lovely to start off the morning using it, or to take a shower with it after a long hot day.

I also use this Magic Soap to cleanse my face, it stings my eyes a bit but it invigorates my skin and leaves my face glowing. The Peppermint Castile gets rid of all of the oil on and tightens my pores but it never dries out my face the way 99% of cleansers do. I barely need moisturizer after using this stuff.

I've also used Dr. Bronner's as a shampoo and to clean my furniture and floors. It's really weird to use the same cleanser that you use on your body on furniture too, but it worked for everything, getting rid of oil and dirt without being harsh.

In the End...

The Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Magic Soap is amazing. There's so many ways to use it, and It's so gentle and effective that I think everyone can find some use for it. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
